I hope Neil Lennon takes the Hibs job. He’s a talented coach who has achieved far beyond the expected mark of a 44-year-old. After leaving Celtic two years ago he gave Bolton a temporary respite, rescuing them from immediate relegation before the inevitable happened a year later.
Bolton were on the slide and needed a miracle worker. Hibs, on the other hand, can surely only go one way. Managing a second successive failing club would be difficult to recover from. Easter Road has also allowed Alan Stubbs to enhance his managerial stock, despite not reaching the play-off final in either of his two seasons in charge.
Right now Hibs are a great opportunity for Neil.
No harm meant to Colin Kazim-Richards but the sight of him going through a medical in Brazil was welcome. He was one of a large number of players acquired over the last two seasons who never looked like a Celtic player, on paper, or on the field. It’s best for player and club he moves on.
What kind of times are these? Marquees deployed to protect scores of Celtic season ticket applicants from sunburn. Surely some parallel universe.

If the theory is that PL didn’t want Rodgers then PL is toast. Maybe he will stay in place until some issues are sorted over at Hampden but if they have went over his head his days are numbered. Phil MacB told us that Ronny set the record straight at his last Board meeting. Maybe he was right, or maybe DD just plain didn’t like the GB banner. Rodgers will have been given assurances by DD as they spoke at length, he revealed during his presser. Interesting times ahead.

I feel neganon2 gets a raw deal in here at times . He is making a lot of very valid points. Res 12 is as important ( if not more) than getting the quality manager we all wished for and surprisingly got . I am cock a hoops ;@) that Celtic pushed the boat out and landed Brendan Rogers and the board are rightly getting praised for it but it is ridiculous imo that celtic fans are funding the big push to see justice done while the board have been silent on this matter for a couple of years now. Maybe we need to take a step back and not let the fact that Brendans appointment ( great appointment ) is clouding our judgement and the club is pulling a fast one on us . I did quite a while back and did get a reply …cant remember his name , sorry . It was round about the time that Regan when John Clark from SFM asked him if evidence was presented to him that “rangers” had got the licence granted “illegally” what would he do? He replied ” nothing” ….. I blew my top as Im sure many on here did too . I sent an email stating that I would not set foot in Celtic Park if Celtic sat idly by and did not challenge this . It came across to me as a kind of standard reply which it probably was as at the time as we were being encouraged to fire in emails .
I live in hope that things are happening in the background that Im not aware of but I cant shake off this bad feeling that the club dont have the balls to see it through .So frustrating as this is/was our chance to have a proper SFA in place with the bigoted dinosaurs removed from office . Res 12 aside , still think if Celtic were more active at the start of “rangers” demise we could have called them (SFA) out for all the cheating/ignoring of rules etc and worked with all the other clubs we could maybe have forced them out by a vote of no confidence from us and the other clubs. I do feel there was a strong feeling against the SFA round about that time. Opportunity lost me thinks
