ANGE POSTECOGLOU will hold signing talks with St Mirren teenage sensation Dylan Reid today.

Celtic have already agreed a £125,000 fee with the Paisley club for the Scotland Under-17 international midfielder, as CQN reported yesterday.

The Saints rejected a bid from Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Ibrox outfit last week and Reid has now been granted permission by the club’s bosses to speak to the champions, according to the Daily Record.

The Greek-Australian gaffer views the starlet as one for the future and the 17-year-old performer will meet with B team coaches Stephen McManus and Darren O’Dea before he makes a decision on his future. It is planned Postecoglou will be involved, via Zoom, from the Hoops’ training HQ in Austria.

Lisbon giants Benfica have watched Reid, who made his St Mirren debut at 16, in recent times, but have not pushed ahead with their initial interest although it is believed they have received good reports on the kid.

Postecoglou has already brought in four new recruits this summer in US international centre-back Cameron Carter-Vickers, Portuguese winger Filipe Jota, Argentinian left-back Alexandro Nernebei and Swiss keeper Benji Siegrist and has admitted he is looking for at least two more to strengthen his squad for the challenges that lie ahead on the the home and European front.
