NEW BLOW FOR EDOUARD

CELTIC’S £9million striker Odsonne Edouard is almost certainly OUT of Thursday’s first leg Europa League qualifier against Suduva.

The French ace suffered a leg strain when he came on as a substitute in the 1-0 loss to Hearts at Tyncecastle 10 days ago.

That kept the 20-year-old record signing on the sidelines for the 2-1 loss against AEK in Athens and he was also missing as the Hooped kicked off the defence of their Betfred League Cup with a 3-1 win over Partick Thistle at Firhill.

Brendan Rodgers had hoped complete rest would aid the frontman’s rehabilitation, but it looks as though Edouard will miss this week’s crucial tie in Lithuania and could also be a doubt for the visit of Hamilton Accies on Sunday.
