Newco are dead in the water if they cannot retain recruits from Raith Rovers who have played a dozen league games for them this season. Dead. In. The. Water. They cannot buy the finished product, they cannot even compete for the French youth international talent Celtic seem partial to.
The only team development strategy available to them is to develop, retain and benefit from young domestic talent. And according to Murty, they cannot afford to offer competitive wages for David Bates.
They couldn’t even convince him to keep his contract business to himself for a few days until after his team face Celtic tomorrow. What a hopeless shower.

there has been nothing this season to suggest we will beat any team by 4 or 5 goals

As for tomorrow, (i) my predictions this week have been wonky … called the score right in 3 of 4 CL games … but for the wrong teams!, and (ii) for the first time in a while, BR has pretty close to a full complement, and some have not been at the top of their game, so I wouldn’t be at all surprised if BR has a few surprises tomorrow (including even possibly 2 up front with LG)….

I buy my season ticket and go to a few domestic and European away games. Empty seats in Paradise would kill Celtic. What good are stripped titles, if yer deid?

I work beside Dallas, every Monday I chuck posting on Cqn, I know heehaw about Russia or dugs, I probably know nothing about Celtic either :-) but Cqn is my wee release, I will be “out” tomorrow too much other family stuff for me to go out every weekend but I will spend a good few hours with very good Celtic people who I can assure you will “rip the pish” out of me me for posting to strangers online ! If MissGFTB was posting to strangers I would fling her iPad out the windae… but at least it’s Celtic strangers for me :-)

The players did their job, by winning titles ( which they were wrongfully cheated out of) … now that that is not disputed, it was the Board’s job to remedy that situation … the Board is not doing its job…..
Our meek acceptance of the cheating has countenanced it … which is one of the reasons why it continues unabated

My da passed 1995, I was a daft 25yr old, he really disliked (hated) the board, I wish I spoke more to him about the actual football, the board & George Connolly were the things I remember him speaking of, maybe the fact his wife & my mum said we were too much alike to have a conversation as one of you always thought they were right … not sure what she meant because obviously I was always right :-)

I know some on here and with great reason question buying season tickets or watching Celtic in cup tournaments …. beat the cheats by keep following Celtic, if any football fan wants pure football don’t watch a World Cup, a Euros, a champions league or a Europa tourney…. why not enjoy what we have ?

They had joy in the wide areas at Ibrox in the last Glasgow derby because they lumped it forward early and got our defence turning. I’d stick pretty rigidly to a back 4 of Lustig, Ajer, Boyata (don’t play across your body with your right foot!!!) and Tierney.
