Newco keyboard hard man mode indicates screaming insecurities

192

I’ve been writing CQN for 16 years so I’ve seen enough keyboard hard men to know how they operate.  They write aggressively, try to humiliate anyone holding an alternative view, and then bluster when it is revealed beyond any reasonable doubt their facts are wrong.

Newco look every inch the keyboard hard man with their hidden “evidence”.  They released a statement yesterday, saying they intend to release their evidence “well in advance of a general meeting to approve an independent investigation”, but not, apparently, before such a meeting is confirmed.

It is inconceivable that fewer than 11 clubs will object to this motion.  If they have any evidence of wrongdoing, show it now, in order to gain support for a General Meeting.  Refusing to show it until and unless a GM is approved, gives them the classic keyboard hard man get-out clause.  They can hold onto their position forever because they set criteria up front that allows their evidence to never be viewed.

Behind all keyboard hard men are screaming insecurities.  Well-adjusted people find better ways to communicate their views.  All I can tell you about Newco right now is that they look more insecure than at any point in their history.  It is a stage in their inevitable decline.

46 years ago today Celtic won their world record ninth successive league title with a 1-1 draw in front of 13,500 fans at Falkirk, a result that relegated the home team.  That Saturday game was followed by league games against Aberdeen on Monday and Morton on Tuesday, before a Scottish Cup Final against Dundee United the following Saturday.  As you would expect, instead of bleating about having to play three league games in four days, Celtic completed the Double.

Victory celebrations were muted as the Falkirk game came three days after a 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the European Cup semi-final.  A result that still casts a bitter shadow.

For long, that week’s achievements seemed impossible to repeat.  We have not been to a European Cup semi-final, or won nine-in-a-row, since.  But the weeks ahead hold great promise – stay tuned!

  1. I’m hearing that the Kray twins will appear on Sportsound tonight just to say their piece on the SPFL fiasco. Mad Frankie Fraser appears midweek and Ivan the Terrible at the end of the week. Certainly one for the intellectuals that show with a Brian Walden type chairman just to ensure balance and provide intellectual rigour.

Aye right, I’ve heard more realism and wisdom , not to mention entertainment, on Tiger Tim’s “Aff its Heid Show”.

After the ludicrous decision to give a sectarian bigot a platform that particular show has no credibility left whatsoever, although it didn’t really have all much to start with. A disgrace.

  2. The test result can be provided in 24 hours. Mrs PMTYH developed a dry cough and was tested immediately due to her being a nurse and who she works for 2.5 days a week. The result was produced 24 hours later. She also does 2 days a week in NHS – no test was offered!

It has been suggested approx 300 people would be needed, including health care workers, for each closed door match and testing everybody every 3 days would be required. Where do they think they are going to get these health care workers from?

The rangers or sevco as we know them are doing what they can to ensure Celtic do not win the league this season, disagree, disrupt, accuse, demand, censure, twist the truth, bully, lie whatever it takes – in the hope that something somewhere along the line will give.

They think the SPFL are frightened of them because of their so called ‘blue pound fan power’ – remember they said there would be civil unrest in the streets if there wasn’t a rangers football club playing out of Ibrox – so they have the confidence / arrogance to keep on pushing and pushing,

Clearly they want the league cancelled or null and voided – and all of this statement o’clock malarky is with that as the ultimate goal. Hopefully big Peter is watching all of this and is ready to defend our right to league title no 9 on Sporting Merit.

They will in fact be represented by Patsy Kensit whose father, ‘Jimmy the Dip’, was an associate of the Krays. She qualifies having been dipped herself by the Fat Gairdener in or around 2001.

I’ve been lurking and posting on here since Black Sunday – the day Scott McDonald scored two against us and effectively gift wrapped the title for deidco,

I’ve witnessed some amazing fall outs between fellow Celtic supporters – name calling that you wouldn’t be doing in the street unless you were tooled up,

based on what I’ve seen on here over the years Reggie makes a fair point.

I agree. It’s unbecoming of a community supposedly ‘open to all’.

Paul’s first paragraph is a cracker.

I watch a lot of US news, they are seeing folk on heartburn tablets don’t get infected as bad as ones who aren’t? There could be a simple solution to contain this ,while we wait on a vaccine

  9. !!Bada Bing!! on

I’m guessing there will be a derivative of something already out there (not Toilet Duck),that could contain until a vaccine is found 🤞

it must be possible to find a way …without being a tool…or by wavering one aboot….this blog was grounded on “we are not being listened to”

  11. FU, fortunately the test was negative. She developed the cough overnight, quite bad may I add, on the Wednesday night. She works Thur and Fri in the NHS. She called both employers first thing on the Thursday morning to advise them. NHS employer took it as a matter of fact the other employer arranged for the test immediately and she was tested on the Thursday and got the result 24 hours later.

  12. Regarding starting football again(behind closed doors)

    Or whatever.

Imagine a player catching the virus and it causes I to have less energy.

Or inhibits his ability to participate at the top level that he is used to.

It would cost a fortune if he sued.

  13. How about using the old Pools Panel if the games can’t be played. I think Ronnie Simpson was a member of the Panel back then. So maybe the Holy Goalie could take his place!

Pog- did he not do a show with Alan Brazil? If he did,he should know better….

They have done stuff together in the past. Poor show by Graham no matter how bitter he is.

  16. !!Bada Bing!! on

Pog- if he named any club Bennell was involved with, in the same way, he would have been emptied on the spot.

  17. All players could be tested at home, if results positive, then all players could be ordered to train, play and live together for 3 weeks and get matches finished.

The MLB looked into something similar.

The local power plant near me has adopted the same solution to ensure electricity. All essential workers must live in RVs parked outside plant. They have meals brought to them from outside but essentially live on site for 3 week shifts.

  18. stumbled over this one – Neil McCallum application for poor relief being sick and unable to work in the Argyle Motor Works Alexandria – 1906.

I see yet another broadcaster, in this case Talk Radio feels free to attack our club and our supporters.

Unless I am mistaken Talk Radio is part of News Corps, as is Talk Sport.

News Corps is shorthand for Rupert Murdoch, founder and former owner of Sky, but also more recently behind ‘Times Radio’ after the former paper of record. Now, and not for the first time in recent years, this media organisation is abusing its position this time as a broadcaster. That’s OFCOM territory for starters.

  20. Have SPFL just called Sevco’s bluff by calling an EGM of clubs on 12 May ?

Sky Sports Twitter thing reported this around 7.15pm

  21. Bateen Bhoy,

my guess is they will meet to have a vote

on the call for an inquiry,

they will vote not to have one

  22. Sounds like my previous employer…..”we’re having a meeting to decide if we should have a meeting”

    Statement from the SPFL Board

The SPFL board met this evening to consider requisitions by Heart of Midlothian FC, Rangers FC and

Stranraer FC calling for an EGM to consider a resolution put forward by them.

The board considered the request and has now called an EGM for 11am on Tuesday May 12th

  24. I see my post about CANAMALAR’s bullying has been removed. Great look sweeping it under the carpet. I guess writing aggressively and trying to humiliate anyone holding an alternative view can be condoned if it suits. Thanks for your support Paul67… Good luck with the site. Turns out some do walk alone NEUSTADT. Best wishes to yourself and to the many decent posters on here
