Newco’s potential investor

271

Just a short one while we await the Uefa meeting to breakup.  I see the press have caught up on the information I left on CQN on 11 March about the potential investor in Newco.  Then, I wrote, “If [The Sun) had even given us something like, ‘A fan, originally from Paisley, who made his money in the Far East’ I would have thought their information was possibly on a par with mine.”

A month ago, Newco were the only club in Scotland facing a financial crisis, today, almost all are, but Newco’s situation is acute.  No Paisley-born-boy-did-good is going to change that.  There’s lots more going on here than I can write about or that others will.  Good luck to Stuart Gibson, if he signs that P.G.

Oh, and their new PR man, goodness!

I bet it’s a cracker and we’re all sitting watching it fae the windae.☹️

  3. I know it’s obviously his own money but if I was invested in a fund managed by Mr Gibson, I’d be seriously questioning his professional judgement right now.

  4. How come aw these potential investors take so much time to sign……?

……how come………..aw this “investment” seems to take soooooo long to get over the line……………….aw these mega-bucks, hunned-up benefaktors who jet in take so loooooong to land??????Then take aff…..ooot quick-style.

…..the dance oan THAT dance-flerr seems to always be a “slowy”………..

Funny, that given our recent and frequent experience of various thousandaires and the basket of assets that naebdy in Shortie wants to take a wee peek beyond the guff!?

    Very good stuff Pablo.

Mind boggling levels of mischief likely being discussed.

Am coming round to thinking that Administration regs will be relaxed.

Furthermore, I believe that this totally unscrupulous club will simply stop paying staff and creditors and blame it on Coronavirus.

UEFA……kicking the can down the street? Into the summer……

…….that would mean no incongruous asterix polluting the space beside our name in the history books.

    Happy days……hopefully.

But just don’t trust UEFA after the Rapid Vienna fiasco of 1985….I was there.

Just reading The Quiet Assassin article about this on CQN still makes my blood boil to this day.

  10. I haven’t read back so perhaps this has been mentioned already.

35% of the Valencian team and staff have tested positive. Apparently all are asymptomatic.

  11. Oh, Paddy dear and did you hear

    The news that’s goin’ round?

The shamrock is by law forbid

    To grow on Irish ground

Saint Patrick’s Day no more we’ll keep

    His colours can’t be seen

For they’re hanging men and women

For the Wearin’ o’ the Green

    I met with Napper Tandy

And he took me by the hand

He said, “How’s dear old Ireland

    And how does she stand?”

    “She’s the most distressful country

    That you have ever seen

For they’re hanging men and women

For the Wearin’ o’ the Green”

Then if the colour we must wear

    Is England’s cruel red

Then sure it will remind us

of the blood our martyrs shed

You may take the shamrock from your hat

And cast it on the sod

But ’twill take root and flourish there

    Though underfoot ’tis trod

    My father loved his country

    And sleeps within its breast

While I that would have died for her

    Must never so be blessed

Those tears my mother shed for me

    How bitter they’ve had been

If I had proved a traitor to

    The Wearin’ o’ the Green

But f at last our colours

Should be torn from Irelands heart

Her sons with shame and sorrow

From the dear old isle will part

    I’ve heard a whisper of a land

    That lies beyond the sea

Where rich and poor stand equal

In the light of Freedom’s day

Oh Ireland must we leave you

    Driven by a tyrants hand

    And seek a Mother’s blessing

From a strange and distant land

Where the cruel cross of England

    Shall never more be seen

And in that land we’ll live and die

    Still wearing Ireland’s green

  14. From the BBC website … I smell 💩

Rangers chairman Dave King says he does not intend to sell his Ibrox shares but has confirmed plans for a share issue.

King announced at the club’s AGM in November that he would step down from the helm after five years in charge.

Reports on Tuesday said Far East real estate tycoon Stuart Gibson is set to lead a multi-million pound investment in the club.

“I am not selling any shares,” King told the Press Association.

“As I said at the AGM, we will raise new funds.

    “No existing shareholders are selling.”

The South Africa-based businessman owns a 25.58% stake in Rangers held by his family firm, New Oasis Asset Limited.

The Daily Record reported on Tuesday that Gibson is “on the verge of ploughing millions into Rangers and becoming the most influential figurehead in the Ibrox boardroom”.

Rangers announced in November they would need £10m in investment before the end of the season after announcing an annual loss of £11.3m.

The suggestion is they were infected when playing Atlanta in Italy last week.

    Well done UEFA.

  18. Hi Paul67,

Yes, as soon as I read the piece on Stuart Gibson thought of your chap from Paisley.

Interesting new PR man, then this story unfolds, only for DCK to state he’s not selling shares and he is going to be sticking to the November AGM plan of raising new funds.

As you are suggesting that things are much worse than appears on the surface, it suggests there is a civil war at Ibrox.

Big question then, who is David Grahram actually working for!?

    Hail Hail

  19. A Happy St Patrick’s Day to one and all. May he watch over all of us in this time of need.

I am not any good at downloading and send on things to others, so sadly I cannot share with others the beautiful image of the Archbishop of Milan standing on the roof of the Duomo facing the Madonnina, Milan’s famous statue of the Blessed Virgin, and praying for all afflicted by the Corona virus. Among his beautiful words are these, ” In these times of apprehension, suggest kind words of encouragement to us. In the hours of solitude may we show our concern for those who are suffering. May our gentleness and our smile demonstrate our caring. Fill our decisions with wisdom. May no one be so anxious about self and indifferent to others. May no one feel excluded or abandoned.”
