    I enjoyed the game, We probably should have won it but glad we didn’t lose,

     

    Plenty of positives.

    Friendlies so difficult to assess.

     

     

    First half- Thought JF and Calmac looked sharp enough. Eddy and Ely look a little less so. Taylor looked handy. Julien and Ajer quiet, although were badly exposed for the Nice goal. Our keeper had nothing to do.

     

     

    Second team- only half hour to assess against their B team so nothing much to say although wee Karamoko had a class touch which led to best chance.

     

     

    Our goal was a mistake by their keeper but Paddy made him make the mistake and looked swift today. Fair play.

     

     

    Even at this level, I thought Boli looked a liability.

     

     

    Hazard was keeper and had little to do though clawed a cross away well.

     

     

    Welsh looked solid. Bitton was calm and composed. Ditto Henderson. Didn’t see anything of Soro.

     

     

    All in all, it was a Nice start.

    Well, that was okayish Actually, great seeing the Bhoys back. Of the subs …Soro was tidy, no more than that, Welsh played well, Big Tam is first team ready, Klimala is useful, Robertson and Henderson need to go up a gear, felt sorry for wee Dembele- seem reluctant to pass to him when he was in space – but N’tcham looked really impressive…. but, there again, I’m bias.

    Enjoyable game up to the subs then the game became a bit scrappy.

     

     

    A good work out and plenty to pleased about – especially that first 30 mins against a very good side.

    With a bit of luck and sharpness we could have a hatfull of goals.

    Turkeybhoy – What position would you play Big Nir in? Like him a lot, as does NFL obviously, but when and where and how to play him?

    Should have won the game,but it’s a game to up the fitness,must say we are ok in midfield forwards,but definitely need another Centre Back and a Left Back, not impressed with either Taylor or Boli .

    Big Nir is a good man to have around for certain games but not when we’re in a game away from home and under pressure from continuous attacks. I’ve seen that movie too often so horses for courses.

     

     

    I want a baby-eating, shaven-headed, eastern european CH with knees not held together by double sided sellotape.

    The quality of football we played was better than any EPL team I’ve seen since resumption, except Man City.

     

     

    Damien Duff knows what he is talking about, Calmac is first class.

     

     

    Left hand side was a joy to watch, right hand side quiet. Eddie and Ryan could have had a couple each.

     

     

    VAR – why no replays? We all agree it was the Nice player who played the ball back but did it graze Christie on the way through therefore making Eddie offside? We may never know. And why did it take so long?

     

     

    Of the second team, Soro looks the biz, Ntcham is the man and Elhamed is a defensive master.

     

     

    Need to see more of the rest, especially Klimala, before judging. Except Boli. He was poor.

    Totally agree. I’d actually forgotten that there were virtually no fans.

     

    Enjoyed the game. Couldn’t believe how much we dominated the first 30 mins or so. Could be critical of their goal but the boy did well and got two breaks of the ball.

     

    Still need defensive recruits (as we all know).
