No bids for Tierney and none wanted

297

Despite reports to the contrary, Celtic have not received a bid for Kieran Tierney and are not impressed by media attempts to unsettle the squad.  Kieran recently signed a six-year contract.  Celtic expect the player to be an integral part of team building over the next several years.  Having only just turned 21, they also expect his value to continue to appreciate.

Celtic do not have to sell and do not want to sell.  We are a well managed club with money available to fulfill strategic plans.  We have recruitment plans and budget in place for this summer; we are not planning to recruit a first choice left back or spend an unexpected windfall.  This attention is unwelcome and a distraction from Champions League preparations.

I also hear Kieran’s agent is relaxed with the player at Celtic and not agitating for a move.  I suspect Everton have let their trusted outlets know they are interested in the player, but it has not gone beyond that stage.

Hello again all you young rebels.

    DELANEYS DUNKY

Re your affinity with the Polish people, i remember many years ago

when me and my wee princess would do a bit of camping and our

usual itinery would include a visit to the local church and graveyard

    to read the headstones.

Don’t know why but i always found it fascinating looking for the oldest

    stone etc.

Anyway back to my point, camping at Balloch i remember visiting one

in that area full of Polish airmen who died in WW2 but for the life of me

    i can’t remember where.

But i do remember a deep sense of sadness that so many young boys so

far from their homes and family died in the futility of war.

Perhaps you can enlighten me where that place was?

Drank with Poles who poured you a shot glass of Fanta then you took a swig of a bottle taken from the freezer then drank the shot glass? It worked though it was alien to me. I like the Poles, damn good people .

Does embdy remember that book by Arthur C Clarke, several thousand years in the future, where a group of people are charged with tweekin the past in order to improve the future?

You’ll recall the main protagonist falls for a buxom big assed girl and fails to do his job – I’m now informed this is considered a failure rather than the victory I applauded.

    Mahe,

Good to hear from you bud

My son dragged me here, on the basis that if I liked Lisbon, I’d love it here – and he wasn’t wrong. Gets less tourists as the weather can be iffy, but its an absolute gem. I’ve fallen head over heels and I’m not easily seduced by cities – more of a rural fella these days.

The water is fine, good seafood and meat on offer, but I prefer the former.

Its still very cheap, if you get away fron the river environs but, like everything else, that will change.

Onlt got a cupla days then south to the beach for a fortnight. Have called in the military to hold back the burds when I get into the ole hammock for the twins. Some of their comments can be quite sexist.

    Ciao!

  17. So say Glibby fails in convincing anyone that he has £11m because he wont transfer it from South Africa to UK via investec. What happens next?
