DANNY ROHL suffered a 3-0 Europa League humiliation on his managerial debut as Ibrox gaffer in Norway tonight as SK Brann ran amok.
The German accepted the role earlier this week, but any hopes of a quick fix were blown to smithereens in his first outings as the Govan club suffered a third successive defeat in the competition.
Rohl, who had left Sheffield Wednesday by “mutual consent” in August, was third choice for the job behind Steven Gerrard and Kevin Muscat who both rejected the opportunity to take over from Russell Martin, sacked after just 123 days in charge.
Rohl must have realised it was not going to be a successful launch of his career in Glasgow when the side went in at half-time trailing 1-0 to the team ranked lowest seeds in the competition.
Striker Emil Kornvig inflicted the damage in the 40th minute with a close-range tap-in.
And it didn’t get any better when the hosts scored No.2 after a neat header from Jacob Sorenson from a left-wing free-kick early in the second period.
Noah Holm lashed in the third to complete the misery.
Next up for Rohl is the match against Kilmarnock at Ibrox on Sunday.
