CROATIAN striker Franko Kovacevic, linked previously with Celtic, has joined Robbie Keane’s Ferencváros in a £2.6million deal.
The towering frontman was allegedly on Martin O’Neill’s radar, as CQN reported during the week, but the frontman, who has fired in 25 goals in 18 games this season for Slovenian outfit NK Celje, has agreed a deal with the Hungarian club, according to the Daily Record.
It is believed Kovacevic has thrashed out personal terms with the Budapest club and the switch will be rubberstamped within the next 49 hours.

THE SEARCH GOES ON…Martin O’Neill is still looking for more firepower.
The Hoops did NOT make a formal approach for the prolific frontman as O’Neill continues to sift through likely candidates as the interim boss seeks to strengthen his frontline before the February 2 signing deadline.
Asked during the week if Kovacevic was a player who was on his wanted list, the Irishman joked: “I’ve only looked at about four and a half thousand at this minute and that’s not bad given I’m only in a week.”
O’Neill took in Motherwell’s Scottish Cup Fourth Round win over Ross County at Fir Park where the home club’s 15-goal top scorer Tawanda Maswanhise claimed the only strike of the contest.
