FORMER fans’ favourite Kyogo Furuhashi will NOT be staging a remarkable comeback to Celtic.
Martin O’Neill has admitted it would be “unlikely” that the Japanese striker, who collected 85 goals in 165 games in his first spell at the club, will be returning.
It appears Kyogo is determined to make a success of it at Birmingham City, despite the fact he has yet to score a league goal for the Championship side following his arrival in the summer.

LITTLE BHOY BLUE…Kyogo Furuhashi is under contract at Birmingham City intil June 2028.
The 30-year-old international hitman, of course, left the Hoops a year ago in a £10million switch to Rennes before they quickly moved him onto the Midlands team after his failure to settle in France.
Asked about the possibility of a loan signing of Kyogo, the interim Hoops gaffer, speaking to the Scottish Sun, answered: “I think that it would be unlikely.
“Everything is premature. I think there is a viewpoint that he wants to really prove himself at Birmingham which is no surprise.
“We’re doing plenty of work on it, seriously. I think that is a big generalisation. I think we’re well aware that we need to supplement the squad.”

MISS…Johnny Kenny smashes the ball off Dundee United keeper Dave Richards in Celtic’s 2-1 loss at Tannadice.
Reports indicated Celtic had been exploring the possibility of bringing back the once-prolific hitman, but it appears the club have received no encouragement in their quest to reinforcing their frontline.
O’Neill desperately needs more firepower with Johnny Kenny the only recognised attack-leader.
The 22-year-old Irish forward has scored only four goals this season with the last one coming in the 4-0 win over Kilmarnock in November during O’Neill’s first stint.
Kelechi Iheanacho is also sidelined with hamstring problems and has not been seen since limping off in the first-half of the 3-1 Premier Sports League Cup Final loss to St Mirren five games ago.
