NO-GO NTCHAM

CELTIC will tell West Ham they have no chance of signing Olivier Ntcham – if the London outfit make a move for the powerful midfielder.

Respected French sports paper L’Equipe reported the Hammers were interested in the player who cost the Hoops £4.5million from Manchester City last summer.

However, the champions have slapped a “not for sale” sign on the former Under-21 international ace.

There has been no contact between the clubs – and the Premier League side will receive no encouragement.

Brendan Rodgers is determined to keep hold of his key men in the bid to reach the Champions League group stage for the third successive year.

Ntcham has blended well in the role alongside skipper Scott Brown and the Hoops could even afford to allow Stuart Armstrong to move to Southampton for £7million last month.

The 22-year-old Frenchman was outstanding in the 3-1 win over Rosenborg on Wednesday and scored a memorable second goal to give the home side the advantage.

He will be in his usual role for the midweek return in Trondheim as the Celts attempt to set up a third round qualifier against AEK Athens.
