NO MOVE FOR HOOPS DUO

CELTIC boss Ronny Deila has dismissed reports Anthony Stokes and Scott Allan are heading for Hibs on loan next month.

Speculation linked the Hoops double-act with a move to the promotion-chasing Easter Road outfit who are now joint top of the Championship alongside Rangers.

Deila insisted: “I don’t talk about this in the media, but we want to keep our players.”

Stokes, who has just returned from a fortnight’s suspension after remarks on social media earlier this month, has not featured since August, while Allan, bought from Alan Stubbs’ side in the summer, has made one start and seven substitute appearances.

Deila said last week that Stokes had indicated his determination to stay at the club to fight for his place after his disciplinary problems.

The Parkhead gaffer said: “My task is to have Anthony Stokes as good as possible.

“Also, there is no chance of Scott Allan going to Hibs. He is here in the squad, so why should he go to another club? It is nothing to think about.”
