No sugar coating last night’s consequences

465

Exciting day as we await the Champions League Group Stage draw! Ideally, I would like to go to Frankfurt (already have the Tshirt), Seville and Lisbon.   Whoever we get, this level of competition will be a new level for much of the current squad.

There is no point sugar coating what happened last night.  After achieving remarkably in the Europa League last season, Newco again defined my expectations and progressed to the group stage of the Champions League for the first time.  The money that will now flow into Ibrox, on top of last season’s earnings and cash from sales over the summer, should put them on a solid financial footing for the first time.

They are a strong and effective team, underestimate them at your peril.

  1. Hope we are drawn out early and have plenty group options, I have a nagging feeling we will get Man City from Pot 1 and they will get Eintracht

  3. As has already been said, it is what it is.

We just have to get on with it and trust that Ange has it sorted, I believe he will have/

One thing for sure, at least we haven’t had to make a pact with the devil to get to where we are.

    Welcome Saed.

Rangers’ ‘journey’ that started in Div 3 in 2012 is now over.

They’ve won the 4 divisions, reached a Europa final and now they’ll dine at the top table, 30 years after they were founder members of the Champions League.

2 SPFL teams in the GS for the first time since 2007. Bravo!!

they didnt win the championship, and they lost a play off 6-1.

so now they are telling lies that the newco club has these honours.

  5. I reckon people were more inclined to call it Parkhead if the only time they were every likely to be in Parkhead (the area) was to go to Parkhead (the stadium).

  6. I1ve just put a tenner on the Huns to draw Eintracht ( 6/1)in the hope that I`ll jinx them :-))

…and I reckon people were more inclined to call it `Parkhead` because that`s what the MSSM told them to call it. Ibrox Stadium sounded so much more majesterial .

  8. All the Pot 1 teams with the exception of Eintracht have played at Celtic Park and Madrid was the old stadium.

  9. Football always throws up these coincidences.Them in Frankfurt group.SM warcry,”Revenge match”.

That’s the team I want.Middle table German team.

Gutted that they won last night but purely because I never want them to go well.

More interest in what we do. Hopefully another good signing today and a bit of steel in the middle and we should be ok.

  11. Right, think I`ll take a wee break now and return soon to see which three teams my 99 pounds will enable me to see at Celtic Park .

    That’s not logical.

Every two bit club has a stadium with a name.

Not many are big enough to have an entire district of a city associated with them.

I’ve always called it Parkhead. Growing up that’s what every Celtic fan I knew called it. It never had any negative connotations or associations.

It must be both a great gift and a fearsome burden to go through life knowing more than than every Celtic board member, every Celtic manager, every Celtic coach, every Celtic ‘bean counter’ and now even every Celtic brickie.

I remember in 60s and 70s they insisted the was The Rangers and Ipox was referred to as The Stadium, not to be called Ibrox Park.

The idea was that the insistence upon the use of the definite article when referring to team or ground gave emphasis to their sense of superiority.

  15. garygillespieshamstring on

    Sorry,

Previous should read “the club was referred to as”

Also should apologise for using the name that should not be typed while I’m at it.

Mate season ticket holders don’t pay 52 pounds to play sevco

    ““““

That nobody else has pulled you up for this means that your not the only dim Tim on here.

Ibrox ticket allocation of 800, cut to 700 there was talk of, season ticket holders pay £52 for to see CELTIC playing Sevco at ibrox, it might soon go up to £55 depending on how ballsy the ibrox masters of CELTIC PLC actually become after last night.

So yeah, £52 `now` used to be £49 in 2012 when Rangers died lol and when Rangers came back under the guise of Sevco in 2016, and guess what, the sneaky CELTIC PLC agreed to put Rangers £49 ticket price onto Sevco vs CELTIC tickets!

And guess what further, 7,000 dim Tim season ticket holders paid £49 to watch Sevco vs CELTIC at ibrox in December 2016, and after paying for these deceitfully priced Oldfirm £49 tickets, Same Club Lie tickets, 7,000 dim Tim season ticket holders, entered the Broomloan Road stand, puffed thur chests out and loyally sang…

    “YOUR NOT RANGERS ANYMORE”

Now, if that isn’t dim – what is it?

Maybe a not nice word beginningwith an `A` would be more appropriate?

And am I the only one who isn’t a sucker that actually clocked this betrayal, deceit, stitch up, selling awe thur grannies oot the back door, mugged by CELTIC PLC, nd it looks as though I am, and if you call this out, your a troll?

    Troll or dim?

And how could poor me annoy anyone when most of what I post gets deleted?

    Take care.

He’ll be joined by assistants Alan Mulvanny and David Doig, with Craig Napier taking up Fourth Official duties.

Out of a post pointing out what it pointed out, you pick out `your`?

And we wonder why Timdom is lying in the gutter, battered, bruised, betrayed, cheated, deceived, mugged, stabbed in the back, stabbed in the front, etc, etc, but your all broken up about – your?

    I say it again.

    Troll or dim?
