NORWEGIAN ACE FIRES WARNING

FORMER Arsenal star Nicklas Bendtner has warned Celtic that Rosenborg are determined to extract Champions League revenge in Glasgow on Wednesday.

The international hitman struck twice – the winner from a controversial late penalty-kick – to lead the Norwegian champions to a 3-2 aggregate win over gallant Valur, of Iceland.

The stoppage-time spot-kick fired Bendtner and Co into a second qualifying meeting with the Hoops who knocked them out last season on a 1-0 aggregate after a goalless draw in Glasgow.

James Forrest was the hero with a memorable winner in Trondheim to seal a hard-fought triumph.

Bendtner said: “It will be interesting. We met Celtic last year, of course. We have to prepare for next week and then see what’s going on. We have not looked at them yet.

“I think it will be a different match than last season. To be honest, we know how they play.

“And we know they are a massive club who are extremely consistent in getting to the Group Stage.

“We will have to prepare ourselves well and look for a different outcome.

“For me scoring that late penalty, I knew what was at stake. Both sides were nervous in stages.

“They said our penalty was fortunate, but we have been cheated many times in our league by bad decisions, so I think we deserve some fortune.”
