‘NOT GARY’S FAULT,’ ADMITS CROCKED KEEPER

CROCKED Caley Thistle keeper Dean Brill has absolved Celtic’s Gary Mackay-Steven of all blame for the accident that has almost certainly wrecked his season.
Brill was stretchered off after only 15 minutes of the 1-1 draw against the Hoops at the weekend. He was taken to hospital and his injury was later diagnosed as a dislocated kneecap.
The 29-year-old shotstopper was trying to kick the ball downfield after a dodgy passback as Mackay-Steven tried to block the clearance.
Brill said: “I’m devastated about the injury and I realise I face a long road to recovery.
“I will stay positive and come back stronger. Thank you, Gary, for the concerned messages. I appreciate them and in no way were you at fault.”
The goalie has been making his first appearance since the same knee forced him off against Hamilton almost three months ago.
