Not interested in your “Where’s the fixtures” patter

488

I appreciate there are people wanting to book flights and other travel arrangements, but I’m not interested in your “Where’s the fixtures?” patter.  No one else cares or is concentrating on who Celtic will play when they win the league, others have thoughts only for the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

Get Sunday wrong and it will be our last meaningful game of the season.  Whether the police are stuck in the last century or not makes no difference, but take our eye off the ball as we prepare for the weekend and things go wrong.  Look at St Mirren for an example of a club and support which spent energy planning a title party but lost to the worst Dundee United team in over 40 years.

Sunday is the only fixture we have. Literally. Keep our heads in the game.

  1. I read with great interest in the FT yesterday that UEFA investigations had discovered that PSG’s sponsorship contracts had been overstated to the tune of €200m.

It’s good to see that FFP is being taken seriously by UEFA. How will they act on this information? Should be very interesting.

And btw, how are the SFA Licensing Committee getting on with reviewing those UEFA licence applications?

I think Shortbread on Sunday is on FM as well, possibly even in Penrith.

And 585m MW as well, which is Radio Solway, covering all of Shangri La.

What I can’t get the head around is all this pandering to the hun hoards, I know scotland is a sectarian shithole, but ffs, it’s 2018, I would have thought that by now the Catholics would have enough control, seems there is a bit to go then :-\

In my experience, central and local government and their agencies are very fair and many high ranking roles are filled by RCs. The same within further and higher education.

However, I would say that the Police, Courts/Law, the Media and obviously the national sporting associations are still predomanantly controled and led by many with hostile views towards RCs.

Theres a long way to go yet be fore parity is achieved in all areas. We’re getting there but it wil take at least another generation to wipe out over 300ys of institutionalised bigotry and sectarianism.

No. I have resolved to listen to Club Deck Roddy as a form of penance after a weekend of overindulgence.

  5. It looks as though Brendan is going to play PR7 from the start on Sunday, and maybe JF on left, I think I would go with that, but then JF never really turns it on against der Hun, but Scotty has not being doing it lately, or are we too hard on Scotty? I think he is doing more defending than he did last year and teams are doubling up on him more, although I think he could do more.

What to do, Brendan time to earn your corn in regard team selection as we have a nearly fully fit full squad.

I would go further than you suggest. Proportionally RC’s in Scotland are probably overachieving in all professions and society in general.

You mention another generation to achieve parity. Two points if I may :

In another generation Scotland will be mostly secular.

How long is the generation you mention ?

    Cheers and HH.

I understand that feng shui says that a toilet should be outside the house, in which case we were way ahead of our time growing up in Oatlands in the 60s.

Delighted to see Lynsey Sharp fail again. Horrible person who is an embarrasment to Scotland. Hope she watches her team crash out the cup on Sunday. Bigoted failure she is.
