NTCHAM IN DEMAND

SOUTHAMPTON have joined Everton and West Ham in monitoring Olivier Ntcham’s situation at Celtic.

The French midfielder has been struggling for consistent game time at Parkhead and had to be content with a late substitute appearance for skipper Scott Brown in the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

That has prompted interest from across the border and, of course, the south coast club has done business with the Parkhead club in the past after signing the likes of Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama, Virgil van Dijk and Stuart Armstrong.

Brendan Rodgers splashed £4.5million for 24-year-old powerhouse, who has won 20 Under-21 caps for his country, from Manchester City in the summer of 2017.

Southampton are looking for a replacement for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who has joined Spurs in a deal worth up to £25million and a report in 90min indicates Ntcham is on their wish list.

As well as 10 minutes against Killie, the French ace also got 20 minutes as a substitute for Mohamed Elyounoussi in the 5-1 victory over Hamilton Accies on opening day at Parkhead.
