Odsonne, Calvin, Cristian and Eboue

Some players always report fit, whether they are or not, but no matter which way Leigh Griffiths views his calf strain from last night, it is likely that Brendan Rodgers will rest the player for Friday’s Premiership game at Hamilton.

With six Celts playing both recent Scotland games, and others performing elsewhere across the Continent, Brendan will surely take advantage of one of the benefits of having a strong squad in a weaker league and rest some limbs.

Patrick Roberts must be itching to get back into competitive action, while Calvin Miller could comfortably deputise for Kieran Tierney, who has already played a lot of football this season. I’d have Cristian Gamboa at right back.

One player who is likely to be rested for Friday is Tom Rogic, who played in Japan last week and is currently halfway through Australia’s home World Cup qualifier against Thailand.

19-year-old Odsonne Edouard will not have met many of this team-mates yet, so you could understand if Brendan Rodgers was cautious about starting him on Friday, but it could also be the perfect opportunity for the player to make a memorable impact.

Who knows, maybe we’ll see Eboue Kouassi pick up the reins in central mid?

  2. lets all do the huddle on

i have 2 browsers both on my phone and laptop

on 1 browser i have javascript turned on, and the other its turned off

there are loads of other sites that are utterly useless with javascript turned on, not just cqn

so i use one of the browsers for those sites

and the other browser for those sites which i need javascript switched on

works ok for me doing that

Its not the worst problem to have for free access to your favourite celtic website! Paul has to pay for it somehow

  4. Follow follow has moved to a new site today. Thought I’d been rumbled when I couldn’t get on!!

    I’m back in now though.

I believe the new site is keeping the old site history….so my post count won’t be affected

I’d make it ad free and charge 5p a post to subsidise CQN. ( free for over 55’s though and a £1 fine for deleted posts :-))

    ————————————————-

CQN is clearly a support service for many people with anger management issues and is currently free at the point of delivery for users. But you want to privatise it, meaning that many of the pure-ragin’ (so am ur) will be roaming the streets looking for a square go with anyone who disagrees with them.

    Shame on you. ;-))))

We’re here, VIP. Faithful through and through. The others can go to their new thread but it won’t be the same thread as the long and established thread we use… :-))

  8. Seein’ how you’re still here: many moons ago, I had an interesting wee exchange with the much-missed Philvis about how hard he had to work in order to keep himself in shape for repeat trips up to the podium.

I pointed out that it was actually much harder to get second spot than first.

He had no answer to that …

That must be the only thing he never had an answer to!

Sadly missed from these pages for his cheeky commentary and…..indefatigability!
