ODSONNE’S UNWANTED HAT-TRICK

ODSONNE EDOUARD will miss his THIRD successive game when Celtic take on Hamilton Accies at Parkhead tomorrow night.

The French Under-21 international striker was sidelined for last week’s 3-1 Europa League Group E triumph over Rennes in Glasgow and the 4-1 win over Ross County in Dingwall at the weekend.

Hoops fans were hoping for at least a glimpse of the talisman against Accies before Sunday’s Betfred League Cup Final against Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox outfit at Hampden.

But boss Neil Lennon ruled out the 14-goal marksman while also revealing there was no chance of a return for Mohamed Elyounoussi who susatined a foot injury when he was on international duty with Norway last month.

The Celtic gaffer refused to talk about the pair’s likelihood of making the silverware showdown with his team one game away from their TENTH domestic honour.

However, French midfielder Olivier Ntcham, who sat out the win in the Highlands, is poised for a recall.

Lennon , speaking to the Daily Record, said: “I am not going to talk about Sunday, you can ask me on Friday.

“Ntcham has a good chance of starting. As regards Odsonne and Mohamed, no. So, we will see how they are.”

Greg Taylor is Cup-tied for the Hampden confrontation while there have been injury scares concerning Boli Bolingoli and Jonny Hayes.

However, Lennon added: “Bolingoli won’t be fit for tomorrow. Bayo is back in training, but probably too soon and it as you were with Jonny, so we are confident he will be fit, as well, for the weekend.

“We have another five days before the Cup Final, but our main focus is on tomorrow and we will deal with what comes after that.”
