Offensive Behaviour and Threatening Communications Act

311

Can there be any surprise at tonight’s news that police are now investigating alleged harassment of members of the SFA Judicial Panel?  On the way home tonight I almost drove off the road when I heard Scotsman journalist, Tom English, on Radio Scotland tell us Rangers knew who sat on the judicial panel a day before Ally McCoist demanded to know who they were on Rangers TV.

Now the SFA inform us the panel members’ identities have been “compromised”.  There was no suggestion their identities were hidden until McCoist fanned the flames on Tuesday, these individuals were not subject to a witch hunt or harrassment.  The Association added “all three panel members have reported intrusion into their personal and work lives, including abusive and threatening communication.”

In Scotland we now have an Offensive Behaviour and Threatening Communications Act.  The Act criminalises “behaviour likely to lead to public disorder which expresses or incites hatred”.   We’ll now see how the law works in this country.

  1. I think the Real goalie (can’t spell cas@+!)@as) stopped guessing and just tried to save them. And it worked. So many many penalties are hit up the middle, or badlly hit, that I think the should just go with their instincts.

Had a good giggle to myself at work. I work In a hotel in the North of Ireland & we have a golf tour group from Ayrshire staying as the night moved on and as I served them there dinner I could hear they were all Huns so when one asked me what I reccommended for dessert I took great pleasure in telling him Jelly & Ice cream lol

  3. Threat against SFA judicial panel members no. 1 story all over the place.

“We don’t do walking away”? Not from this one they don’t.

  5. I am right footed, and my pressure penalty would be firm side foot to the bottom right.

Don’t tell that over forties league I join next season…

Fat Swally knew what he was doing? he already knew who they were before last nights interview ..he was playing to the huns..the SFA are huns..the poalice are huns..whats the conceptual difficulty here? They are orchestrating their public dissonance that the SFA are not playing along to their 140 year old history. They are generating hun public ground swell for the appellate procedure.

Aye, makes you wonder just what the wee rat said to Lenny.

    >>><<<

I was told that what he said was,"I'll have my bullets back, now,ya fenian b*****d." I cannot confirm this…but it would explain why Lennie exploded.

My info is third hand, but I believe it.

  8. Amidst all this outrage and anger across the city, everyone needs to remember something….

This is merely a dress rehearsal for the main event.

This SFA judgement only applies to the period that Lord Nimmo Smith was asked to investigate – the Craig Whyte year.

Once the FTT returns it’s findings and the improper registration of a decade’s worth of football players unravels, we will see titles stripped, trophies removed and punishment befitting the “biggest corruption in British sporting history”.

  9. Margaret McGill,

The more I watch this the more I think, yes, Celtic have the goods on this mob.

We must have some kinda proof or they would swat us aside…surely?

As a right footed defender I always hit penalties to the keeper’s bottom right. But I never scored any. Don’t think Danny scored too many either so I have no shame in this !

Yep, it was the rumour being shared here.

Wouldn’t put it past the evil little sh@#.

Met Lenny in the summer last year…wish to God I hadn’t been so steamin and I’d have asked him…..I reckon he might have told me :))

Taken a lot of penalties in daft wee games.

And I was dead proud of never having missed.

    Then I missed.

    Still bothers me.

Yes in a pressure situation I would go accurate bottom right or left, done properly is unsavable.

(wee rascar bawlin his eyes out, unable to take his penalty in the semi of the big cup)

I think, to use a phrase used too commonly here much to the annoyance, that the Celtic Board are keepin the powder dry.

And a wee bit of work behind the scenes might be just what is making moisty act more like the imbecile he is. Cos he’s powerless, and those running his precious wee institution aren’t that bothered about it. He has been….emasculated. Just ask wee Brenda who used to meet him at a hotel in East Kilbride ;) I say all this in jest with no hint of truth of course.

  14. Rascar Capac,

My Grandson is a budding goalie so we studied it.

7/8 out of 10 right footed players aim for the bottom left.(as the kicker sees it)

Same with left footers, bottom right (as the kicker sees it).

    Watch in future…very seldom differs.

  15. Goodnight y’all.

At the start of all this I was elated that Rankers were imploding.

Now,on day 73,or whatever it is,of the whole sorry saga, the more I hear of their sick behaviour, the more depressed I become.

I’ve always known they were an evil lot,but with bombs & bullets and all the rest, they’ve dragged Scottish football & society into the worst excesses of bigotry.

And it is their shame,if they understood the concept…but they don’t;which makes them all the more low.

Any of you going to the game on Sunday, stay safe. I put nothing past this lot.

    WELL DONE and thank you.

  17. The Ghood will prevail on

The hun is an odd beast indeed. The very characteristics that has brought it success – stunning arrogance, a compliant media, a corrupt FA – are becoming its downfall.

Their arrogance blinded themselves to the peril of Murray’s financial bampottery, the compliant media didn’t alert them to that financial bampottery (or indeed the true nature of googly eyed hero Craig Whyte) and the corrupt SFA is now being leaned on by UEFA to finally apply the rules of fair play. In reality, for the best interests of Rangers, it would have been better had the SFA squealed about double contracts years ago and nipped all this cheating in the bud.

It struck me a few days ago, when the hun fans talked about boycotts should their newco be parachuted into the SPL with ‘punishments’, that this was entirely counterproductive i.e. more likely to turn SPL chairmen against said re-admittance. Rangers fans are so used to getting their own way that they seem incapable of countenancing any meaningful punishment. They would rather poo in their pants and create a stink than actually show a wee bit of humility or remorse.

Now the weearapeelil-ism of McCoist and the dreadful intimidation that has inevitably followed doesn’t help them at all – in fact it undermines rankers’ hopes of a succesful appeal. No media personell will be able to seriously defend McCoist. Compared to this, Neil Lennon becoming hotheaded about refereeing decisions seems like a minor misdemeanour. McCoist must face severe censure from the SFA and the police (but he probably won’t).

The huns’ very instincts are now their enemy. They are hastening their own demise. They are like a man drowning in quicksand – the more he struggles, the more it takes hold.

It’s time for the good of Scotland that this beast died. But it will not die quietly. Now the SFA are to blame. Soon, somehow, it will be your and my fault.

    Be careful out there.

  18. McCoist issues mealy mouthed statement. It wisnae ma fault, that’s no what a meant. But they shoudl still be named!!

  19. 'crushed nuts?' 'Naw, Layringitis!' on

‘Hamish, promise me ye’ll let ma sister Moira ride in the hearse wi’ ye to the cemetary?’

Hamish sighs ‘..aye, alright, but it’ll spoil the day fur me!’

  20. Morning Celts dull and wet on the NW coast of engerlund, must be near summer.

I hope we’re focussed for this game on Sunday, I’d play our battlers against them as I don’t think it’ll be pretty, no confidence in the ref at all.

  21. Maybe instead of saying what a great guy he is, and he is under enormous pressure, the media should ask TFPLG if he is so keen to find out who these guys in the judiciary panel were, why didn’t he ask rangers representatives at the enquiry? Oh that’s right, he hasn’t spoke to media he has did an interview with Bankrupt TV and issued a statement.

Carefully orchestrated for maximum effect. Job done i’d say Alistair. Now live with the consequences.

  22. good morning all

I assume nobody has arrested that horrible wee scroat fat sally yet?

  23. Wonder if Alistair’s quest for transparency will extend to calls for declaration of membership of any secret societies by our decision-makers?

  25. A nasty, chilly sort of morning here in North Ayrshire.

That was the same McCoist who whispered poison into Neil Lennon’s ear.
