What you and I have known for months was established as true by the BBC last night, Rangers improperly registered players for over a decade. Following the programme there was some bluster by a firm of accountants who clearly have a lot to worry about, but nothing has been said to dispute the dual contract claim.
The SLP have not added to their 65 word statement released ahead of the broadcast. SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has told the BBC the association will not act, unless called to do so as an appeal body, and SFA President What-school-did-you-go-to has not uttered a word.
Campbell Ogilvie was an executive director of Rangers when it carried out a dual contract system in contravention of the rules of the SFA. This is an established fact which is likely to have severe repercussion for the Scottish game and the club. It is inconceivable that he continues to act as president of the SFA, especially when it has taken the decision not to become involved, despite being the only body competent to investigate breaches across all domestic competitions.
He must resign immediately or be fired. If Mr Regan does not understand this he should be fired too. He is there to take the hard decisions, not to make friends. He has abandoned fans at the time they most need clear leadership.
Anyone on the board in any doubt about this matter must follow them out the door. The SFA is professional body with budget of millions of pounds, not an old boys club, and should act accordingly.

One gets the feeling that, all over Scotland today, there are people with their fingers in their ears going… la la la…I can’t hear you..la la la.
And that’s including the SFA and SPL.
Awe Naw
What’s up with merseycelt?
The problem we have here is that the old boys/ funny handshake network has moved into self protection mode marshalling the bretheren who are in important positions to completely ignore the law and pretend that nothing has happened. I’m not sure that common decency will be enough to break through this and we might need help from outwith this country to get justice

Szczesny and his Arsenal teammates, have apparently taken to using John Terry’s name as a code word during their nights out.
British tabloid Metro reports:
The 22-year-old shot-stopper, who was giving an interview to the Polish version of Playboy, admitted the Blues skipper’s name acts as a code word when one of his team-mates wants to escape from an awkward situation with the opposite sex.
‘At Arsenal it [the name John Terry] is another word for an ugly girl,’ said Szczesny.
‘If there’s a girl around that we don’t really like, we use it as a smokescreen, as in: “Have you seen John Terry recently? He’s terrible. I recommend this, it really works.”’
Apparently ‘Craig Whyte’ is also being used if you want to $crew them rotten…

The blog judges, meanwhile, honoured the Rangers Tax Case blog for its efforts to investigate the financial scandal surrounding the football club, describing it as “a worthy winner which not only proves that independent blogging is as healthy as it ever was, but also offers a mirror in which our times are reflected”.
So its true. Not paranoia.
The SFA, SPL and huns are a true unholy trinity.
Still are.
Total corruption.
Should be jail ..unless the cops were paid on EBT’s too.
Whats the ETA on Liquidation?
Neither Doncaster or Reagan have the cojones to take the first step towards decisive action against a club that has been cheating all of Scottish football for a decade
With their failure to act despite the overwhelming evidence provided by last night’s BBC programme, it is clear to one and all that both men see the survival of Rangers as the utmost priority regardless of their fradulent activity
I would now like to see Celtic make a further statement in which they express their “deep concern that the integrity and honesty of the Scottish game is in serious doubt whilst the SPL dither over their investigation into Rangers dual contract issue”
With each passing day of this farce, the Scottish game is losing a paying customer
Same old Rangers, always cheating…
Literally ‘always’ and now proven.

Kettering Town will apply for entry to the Southern Premier League because of debts totalling £1.2m.
The crisis club will drop down two divisions following their relegation from the Blue Square Bet Premier.
New Poppies owner George Rolls told a supporters’ forum on Wednesday that the club would be applying for a three-year company voluntary agreement (CVA) to settle arrears with creditors. But he hoped the club would be breaking even by October.
Kettering would be unable to apply for entry to the Conference setup in their current financial situation and, if they are accepted into the Southern Premier League, they are likely to start the season with a 10-point penalty.

Pretty sure though that BQ et al would have headed off at the pass any perceived malfeasance.
Now, as for the Ibrox monkey huns FC (formerly known as the ‘provisional RIA’) and wrt their related recipients of EBTs, the issue revolves or will do, IMHO, as to whether it is systemic or not. Systemic being the operative word……….. Aye, systemic. Anywhere but Scotland and a few (other) banana republics, this would be the crux………
You know though, for all that, I still think that they will be playing in the SPL 2012/2013……. in whatever guise, and no matter what evidence of (their) wrongdoing is in the public domain!
Sad and wrong in so many ways!

They SHOULD resign, but they WON’T.
So who has the power to make them resign or sack them, and will they make them?

I don’t see that he has any power though. What he is actually doing is not in the public eye…..which makes me wonder ! I can’t think of any other UK organization receiving as much public funding which is allowed to continue unchecked despite proven corruption and damning reviews.
Ogilvie is like the golf club captain who can’t give up the parking space and other perks. If he goes this time surely that’s it although Airdrie’s hun affiliations would suit him after Rangers, Hearts and the SFA.
Standing handing out medals last Saturday with no shame.
Regan is a let down, there has been some changes for good at the sfa but when the big one falls he has been found wanting. How much more evidence does he need? or is he hiding behind the wait for the FTT?

Celtic have been correct in remaining silent up until now. However, the lack of a meaningful comment today from the SPL or SFA means that Celtic now have publicly ask both the SPL and the SFA what steps they propose to take in relation to the serious accusations made last night on BBC.
As a wee distraction from all the hunguffary here the latest edition of the List.

perhaps Mr Salmond should get involved.
You mean “part of the fabric of Scottish society”……THAT mr Salmond?
Unfortunately several people who should know better ( e.g.Salmond, Regan, Doncaster) have nailed their colours to the mast in this sordid affair, and their colours have a distinctly orange hue to them. I think we will have to go through a “backtracking” phase before we get to the “doing the right thing” phase.
Paul67,
There is obviously no one of sufficient stature and leadership within Scottish footballing authorities to take a decisive step in bringing this whole toxic mess to an end.
They are all waiting on the taxman to do the dirty deed and lance boil on the arse of Sottish football, the time must be ripe for Lawwell to make a public statement and embarrass them into action.
“There is a lack of openness, transparency and accountability. The governance of the game has to change, but the SFA presents a serious obstacle to the modernisation of football in Scotland.”
Henry McLeish, former Scottish First Minister, 2010
The SPL/SFA should be careful what they do. Failure to act properly (or even to act at all) and within the rules could see a vote of no confidence and even a breakaway league/association.

Celtic have to appeal to Uefa. There is absolutely no point in going through the authorities in this country when they themselves are being called into question.Where are you Uefa???
Hi Paul,
Untenable doesn’t even come close, he should have went months ago, he was conflicted and hd to step aside, even if it was to prove his innocence, of course he couldn’t as we discovered a while back he was paid via EBT.
His defence at that time was although his position meant he had resposibility for players’ contracts and payments, in actual fact it was MIH that dealt with this.
That was a poor arguement then, however since that time the SFA’s Judical panel has looked at the same defence presented by some R@ngers ex-Directors vis-a-vis the disrepute charge, this was rejected on an enquiry panel, disciplinary panel & appeal panel.
As you say he has not taken the multiple opportunities to resign and Mr Regan must sack him or go himself.
Could you confirm that CO had an EBT payment after he’d left R@ngers and had a post with the SFA?

“Unfortunately, the behaviour of some people in recent weeks, has tarnished the image of Scottish football, and demeaned the game. The climate of inference, innuendo, and conspiracy theories must stop.”
George Peat, President of SFA, 2010.
We can always withdraw our players from the frendlies at the weekend citing that we think the SFA has far more pressing concerns like what is next years fixture list ?

Can’t believe the SFA are taking a back seat after last night’s damning programme on the Orcs, we do pass the parcel these guys do pass the buck. Got to see the programme as they’re keeping the wee man in ICU for observation (they kick parents out at 7:30pm). Since getting the CPAP mask he’s playing a blinder and sleeping for Scotland & Ireland, I suppose he has about 6 months sleep to catch up on!! Dr’s happy with his progress but won’t let him out ’til they’re 100% sure he’s right this time, seeing as they’ve messed us around since the New Year. Thanks for all the good wishes
