Ogilvie and Regan must now resign

968

What you and I have known for months was established as true by the BBC last night, Rangers improperly registered players for over a decade.  Following the programme there was some bluster by a firm of accountants who clearly have a lot to worry about, but nothing has been said to dispute the dual contract claim.

The SLP have not added to their 65 word statement released ahead of the broadcast.  SFA chief executive Stewart Regan has told the BBC the association will not act, unless called to do so as an appeal body, and SFA President What-school-did-you-go-to has not uttered a word.

Campbell Ogilvie was an executive director of Rangers when it carried out a dual contract system in contravention of the rules of the SFA.  This is an established fact which is likely to have severe repercussion for the Scottish game and the club.  It is inconceivable that he continues to act as president of the SFA, especially when it has taken the decision not to become involved, despite being the only body competent to investigate breaches across all domestic competitions.

He must resign immediately or be fired.  If Mr Regan does not understand this he should be fired too.  He is there to take the hard decisions, not to make friends.  He has abandoned fans at the time they most need clear leadership.

Anyone on the board in any doubt about this matter must follow them out the door.  The SFA is professional body with budget of millions of pounds, not an old boys club, and should act accordingly.

I remember Paul being so tickled when he heard who put Whyte in the direction of Ticketus. Was the hilarity down to it being Grier of Duff and Phelps, the same company who were suing him for not telling them about the Ticketus deal? If it is someone funnier than that, I’ll wet myself

  5. SFA and SPL have been dragging their feet hoping Rangers would be bought and survive via a CVA

I don’t think that there are any of us who believe anything but the softest of landings for Them will come from the SFA / SPL.

There is not the will within the Establishment to deliver justice. The reaction to last night’s BBC prog tells us so.

Any sanctions will be of a superficial finger wagging and harmless point deductions.

At the risk of being called perverse, perhaps the best scenario for us is for the football authorities to continue on their present course of inaction.

In the face of the accumulated evidence, from Dougiegate until now, Celtic have a very strong case to present to UEFA .

The climate in Scotland is detrimental to the club operating in a fair marketplace and if UEFA don’t think we have a case, then we should consider a Bosman ; i.e.the European Courts.

  7. Last night Mark Daly said, I think, that N McCann got £0.5 million from a hun EBT.

Found the amount a bit surprising. But it possibly explains his recent emergence as a Fighting Fund Fighter.

The SPL, like the Premier League before it, is a cartel founded upon greed. The SPL took the idea further though in that it broke away from the Scottish Football League, in 1998. From early 1999 through to 2007 it was sponsored by an organisation that tried, and failed, to put Celtic out of business in 1994. It tried to do this when it was owed more by Rangers FC than it was by Celtic. It was of course, David Murray’s personal bank, the Bank of Scotland, the foremost masonic organisation in Scotland, followed by Scottish Enterprise, but that is another story, for another time. Along with the SFA and the SPL, the Bank of Scotland, as Rangers’ bank, knew all about the EBTs to players and Directors, indeed it helped facilitate them. And this while it was sponsoring the SPL. The SPL has been corrupt since day 1. The SPL, with the connivance of the SFA and the support of the Bank Of Scotland allowed one club, Rangers FC, a pecunious advantage over all its’ club members that enabled that club success it would not otherwise have achieved. The Bank of Scotland is no more, Murray’s business is run by an English Bank, the masonic secrets now common knowledge, the corruption writ large. The future of the SPL and the SFA are now imperriled, (and only one will survive) but not as imperriled as the main beneficiary of the Bank of Scotland largesse, the now impecunious Rangers FC. The SPL cannot and will not act, and therefore must be disbanded. Neil Doncaster must resign. The SFA must act, first to clean out its’ own Augean stables, (by diverting the River Clyde if it has to) and then by taking the lead, not from the odious, like Johnston or Ballantyne, in reforming Scottish football under one roof and one organisation. Stuart Regan can start that process, by sacking the SFA’s own President. Not for the first time Paul, you are on the money, Campbell Ogilvie must go!

Re: We are all talking timmys tune now. Well done BBC.

If the Timmy led SFA and SPL decide to strip us of our league titles then logically we wouldn’t have won a game in any of the seasons we used the EBTs. Therefore, we would by now be playing junior level football and any European games would be null and void.Assuming this, then the whole of European football is finished as the results of thewinners of all the cups we played in would have to be overturned.

Let’s all thank Liewell and his pals for destroying European football in their pursuit of the one team which stands up to them.

I think his name was McKee (don’t remember the Christian name): he was headmaster at St Gerard’s in the late 50s – there, I’ve dated myself – then moved to Holyrood. Later, he was chairman of the Catholic Education Commission for Scotland.
