JAMES FORREST has scored in each of Celtic’s last four games in European competition, including both legs of their Europa League play-off win against AIK Stockholm. The on-fire winger opened the scoring in the 2-0 victory at Parkhead and repeated the feat in the 4-1 return in Sweden.

CELTIC have never lost to Rennes after playing them twice in the Europa League group stages in 2011/12. The Hoops gained a 1-1 draw away from home thanks to a Joe Ledley goal and won 3-1 at Parkhead. Anthony Stoke (2) and Gary Hooper were the marksmen.

THE Hoops have failed to win in their last seven away European games against French opposition – drawing two and losing five – since beating Nantes 3-1 on their way to their historic triumph in Lisbon on May 25 1967.

RENNES have lost just one of their last 15 home games in European competition – winning eight and drawing six – since toppling to a 2-1 defeat against Dynamo Kiev in last season’s Europa League group stage.

IN Champions League and Europa League games combined, Celtic have won just three of their 45 away group stage games  – drawing 11 and losing 31 – with one of those victories coming in last season’s competition at Rosenborg where James Forrest .
