Russell has scored 2 thirty yarders coming on his right hand side this season….both goal of the season contenders the bhoy’s a player alright, maybe need a wee bit more, but nothing that cannot be coached in my opinion.

for me russel is a better player than watt at the moment, although Russell is 3 years further down the line in terms of development.

Cannae believe were having a debate about Anthony Stokes and what he brings to the team.
Anthony Stokes has superior ball skills, better than most on the team. He has had to deal with a fair few injuries this year, but we have seen what he can do and he is he has a lot more to his game, he can set them up and score them and that is not going just by his final appearance. He wants to stay a hoop and I know they are saying he wants more money but he probably deserves it given the money other players are earning and what he signed for.
I don’t know enough about JR having not seen him enough to form an opinion.
For me I would be going for a frontman with the stature of a John Hartson or Chris Sutton. A striker who is useful in the SPL and in Europe someone who can compliment what we have already.

Croatia is lovely. Our place is in the north, Istria, which is just a little cooler in mid-summer than Dubrovnik – fair skin, bald head, need to watch the sun. There was a great article in the CQN mag a couple of months ago by a guy who visited in his way to Juve and he also loved it.
I have converted a few locals to follow Celtic – part of the missionary work.

It’s fair to point out that Russell hasn’t played against any top defences (unless scoring against Celtic counts in this regard), and therefore can’t be judged as a player in that context.
That comes with the rations when you consider younger players.
He is though a fast, mobile, strong and skilful athlete, and a pretty clever footballer. His transfer fee is less than 10 months wages for Dorin Goian. As a punt on young talent, we’ve taken bigger risks.

Have seen the multi poster allegations thrown at you on here, just plain daft imo, I mean we are all already anonymous on here, whats the point in being anonymous twice. I don’t think Tony Stokes has a hope in Hell of getting a four deal at Celtic, or any club.
He should grab the two year deal on offer, as he won’t get better anywhere.
He is a clever footballer, but his basic lack of athleticism and any kind of pace, makes him an anachronism in the modern game.
If he is acting on someone’s advice, then it’s time he changed advisor.
Take the two years, lad, and be glad to get it.
If you believe in yourself and deliver the goods, consistently, then the other two years will look after themselves.
Clubs need a bit of security also,if they are handing out four year contracts.
Anthony Stokes has, to date, not earned a deal like that.
