If you are my generation, you will still wince at the prospect of a visit to Pittodrie. Despite a calamitous 2025, Aberdeen managed to beat Celtic in May’s Scottish Cup Final, so even younger fans are entitled to be cautious ahead of tonight.
That sentiment will not be understood by Aberdeen fans. After a resounding 6-2 win over Livingston 10 days ago, they crashed to earth at Rugby Park on Saturday, losing 3-0 to Kilmarnock, with club captain Graeme Shinnie shown a red card. By any measure, they are a team in crisis.
Like Martin O’Neill, their boss Peter Leven has the role on an interim basis, his third such stint. Unlike O’Neill, Leven does not expect to remain in charge until the end of the season. His colourful director of football, Lutz Pfannenstiel, hopes to make a permanent appointment soon. That state of flux contrasts with the stability Martin offers Celtic.
Last night’s win for St Mirren was welcome – to a point. The result can only be enjoyed if Celtic take all three points tonight. Martin O’Neill has set Celtic on an exceptional run of form, but no team in this league race can be confident of winning any game.

And they gave us James McGrory
Will McCann lie down to Huns, or want to show them what they’re missing. Either way the MIBs will no doubt make it all irrelevant.
The game being off will help with bedding-in time for the new signings!
“Will McCann lie down to Huns…”.
Yes.
I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it’s not 4 or 5 nil.
I for one will back the Collective’s appeal to boycott the Scottish Cup game, I have taken this decision even though I have purchased my ticket. My seat will remain empty.
Once again this is another underwhelming transfer window.
In 2007 we purchased Scott Brown for £4,500,000. He was a ball winner and an inspiration to the rest of the team.
Scott left Celtic in 2021 and we still haven’t replaced him!
This Board 18 years later are purchasing the majority of our players in the £1 million to £4 million bracket. Whilst we have a minimum of around £80 million on deposit and paying the Exchequer £11 million in Corporation Tax!
They lack ambition and clearly are at a loss on how to take Celtic FC forward. If they have the best interests of the club in their heart they will resign and allow a better quality of Board member to take us onto the next level.

How has your approach done so far, Auldheid?

As I said The Purpose statement will be revised.
Slow burner when followed by the rest eg Vision, Strategy etc.
A powerful way to bring about meaningful change.
Tonight’s game Postponed?

should a profitable business not pay tax ?
are many in our support not public servants ?
to not pay tax we need to spend all the money coming in during the fiscal year.
cmon celtic, for next year tell the support we are going to spend ALL THE INCOME, we dont need no sticking profits just to earn more interest on them.
buy the creamery, or some other boondoggle mad-mitch scheme.
Calling people racist while you advocate policies that prejudicially ignore the native population’s interests is peak hypocrisy.
A form of the racism that you use on here daily as your pathetic calling card.
You’re not ethical, you’re just performing. And your performance can be seen as an extension of the shallow individual you actually are.
It’s entertaining to watch your double digit IQ somersaulting and flip flopping with the changing wind direction.
Put up or shut up.

Surely the Green Brigade know that the board won’t talk to them and the likelihood is that they will not be offered renewal.
However, I am sure they will get tickets even if the’re banned . No trouble for away games.
Demonstrate on Sunday but denying entry to anyone will result in real trouble. This looks it will go on indefinitely
I will still go

I believe the issue is that the fan media are supporting the Collective position re ‘threatening staff and self policing’ , hence they’ve been put on the naughty step until they grow up.
‐—‐——-
Are all fan media lumped together?
I have stopped listening to several as its a constant negative diatribe, but others are IMHO more balanced.
===================
Negative diatribes like this example?

Oh Touty i do love when you shills go deep into your racism to skin pigmentism,no hypocrisy just highlighting your scummery.Growin up in Glasgow you come across indigenous folk and native folk with the same vomit racism.insecurity like yours, fear like yours, ignorance like yours.
Its simple you default to racism
The form of racism you expose by your own words,is sleekit, dropped in as tho it has some intellectual power behind it,its not.you are hidden, stay anonymous.
Thanks for the IQ quote-will add that to your zimmer comment – you are still a racist scumbag.
Flip flopping only to catch a racist skank attempting to forward your racism out of every pore.

Indeed , I suspect that a number of the blowhards in the Collective are either too dumb to follow a fairly straightforward set of financial controls whilst others are just in it for the clicks.

Last season many were on moaning about the amount of free midweeks we had after cramming all the games August to January, so let’s think, better to play on a ploughed field in the rain,or play March\April,better weather, new players bedded in.H,mm,tough one.
Did we not have a game postponed at Hampden against the Hun years ago when it was claimed it had snow on the terraces and approaches to the stadium, This conveniently meant that some Huns players could then serve suspensions but rather inconveniently for the Hun the Daily Record dispatched a photographer to take a picture of the snow around Hampden but sadly he couldn’t find any
Itwasblatantbacktjencfc
Mississippi Polis….?
That’s a new one……
Test…
Hopefully Saracchi and AJ available for the rescheduled game and new players bedded in and contributing.
A spring pitch without the wind and rain suits us more than Aberdeen.
i hope having to play the sheep game at some point in march wont interrupt our preparation for our europa league semi final 😁
Stuttgart on the Thursday, Sevco Sunday, Aberdeen Wednesday.
Not confirmed CSC
I wonder if the Huns ever sit and wonder what their world (Team) would have been like without that insanity.
They might have a few more European trophies.

I disagree with Auldheid on a lot of things.
This time Auldheid is correct.
The Celtic Collective want to unite the supporter base, so long as everybody agrees with TCC.
The Celtic supporter base sat on their fat asses watching the complicit PLC take a backseat to every event from 2012 onwards.
TCC are part of the supporter base who said ZERO as Scottish Football was flushed down the pan, every step of the way since 2012.
Celtic FC didn’t get involved in the Hun EBT Scandals, which cheated Celtic Fans, Managers, Players, Staff, etc, out of 20+ Trophies which innocent Celtic fans paid a lot of honest money to see a rigged game, Yet Celtic FC was too busy covering its own ass to be concerned about stupid stuff like, Integrity, Principles, Ethics, Laws Of The Game, etc, which led to Rangers FC dying.
Rangers and Scottish Football might not have been flushed down the pan If Celtic FC were Big enough to point out that, David Murray committed these EBT Crimes, so only David Murray, must be punished for this.
But they didn’t and now Scottish football might lose “SKY TV” sponsorship monies because it is a “One Horse League Monopoly” as some folk like,”KEVJUNGLE, and eh, “KEVJUNGLE”, have been pointing out since 2012.
And further it slides.
Celtic FC kept their powder dry for 4 years between, 2012 – 2016.
Sevco who are pretending to be Rangers FC.
In 2016, Sevco got promoted to the SPL.
Celtic FC immediately created a decoy, to prevent “Same Club Lie” types of questions being asked by the fake media, or the altar bhoy-esque Celtic blogs and websites plants, who must have agreed prior to attending the press conferences, that ZERO questions would be allowed about the “Same Club Lie” how convenient.
TCC probably don’t even know where the snowball of corruption started rolling from.
I wonder how many Celtic websites, podcasts, etc, were asked to the clubs hand picked press conferences, after being told that only toothless, aimless, soft ball, types of questions would be allowed?
I wonder how many showed a backbone and said “No” thanks, but kept schtum about it ever since?
Hmmmmm.
Anyway, after Sevco got promoted, AND, somewhere along the line an agreement was struck between Rangers FC, Celtic FC, Celtic & Rangers supporters groups that the ticket prices for the ahem, Glasgow Derby Fixtures, would revert back to the same prices in 2012 before Rangers FC went erchie up?
So covering up Rangers FC’s death????????
Shoorley?
So silent Celtic FC went along with the “dupe” that covered up David Murray’s EBT Criminality, by acting as if “Nothing Had Changed” in Scottish Football between 2012 – 2016.
Why was there no Celtic Collective on the Celtic doorstep for “Covering Up” the death of Rangers FC?
You see, having a supporter base who are still under a “Brendan Rodgers Psychological Arm-Lock” will solve – ZERO!
If the supporter base still can’t see that Rodgers was speaking out of both sides of his mouth, then the supporter base needs to go back to school.
You are merely pouring petrol over “The Celtic Condition” which has become a tumour because of the rotten food that the patients are eating.
Food with parasites swimming in through the back door will make you ill.
A supporter base who are incapable of an honest critique of, Brendan Rodgers, are far from being capable of “Honestly” critiquing the Celtic FC landscape.
If someone disagrees with you it does not mean that they are your enemy.
It might mean that the person in disagreement with you could turn out to be the greatest Comrade that you will ever know, because they know stuff that you obviously don’t!
That is a big bone to chew over, I know, but chew over it you must!
Celtic are not being helped with 60,000 Doctors “EACH” with a different diagnosis to cure the ill patient despite all of the mostly “Uncontested” silverware over the last 13 years, which has created a lot of fat expectant greedy bassas within the supporter base, who won’t be able to see straight if a domestic Treble and CL Qualification isn’t sitting on their mantle-pieces, which creates greed.
Greed leads to all sorts of disappointing conclusions.
As to where we are at, I think MON will be “MIGHTILY” relieved when he gets the fk out of dodge.
This environment has been created with a PLC full of slippery characters being held to account for ZERO since 1994.
A 60,000 crowd who are utterly leaderless will just keep sucking until Celtic fall off a cliff.
That could be next year, the year after, heaven knows.
With every day that passes, Celtic-ness gets lesser, and lesser, and lesser….
Auldheid on 4th February 2026 5:02 pm
Auldheid /EK Bhoy
When it comes to the current group of Directors at Celtic there are a few things I give credit for – trophies and financial acumen, being two, but there are several big concerns particularly their limited ambition / performance in Europe and the repeated failure of the youth programme.
Hence, there are some topics where I am on board with the Collective, but other stuff eg the antics at the AGM were, at best, naive.
Right now,we neex fresh thinking and I know a number of folk who have all the right credentials to be highly competent Execs or NEDs at Celtic, but to a man and woman they all say they same thing ” I wouldn’t go anywhere near it” , and, can you blame them when you see the treatment they get even when we have had 15 years of dominance.
Right now, Celtic need a Chairman, and I dont see COMPETENT folks banging down the gates
There’s a round of EPL games on the Tuesday and Wednesday after we go to Ibrox. I’d imagine sky wont want it rescheduled for that week.
Yes youve guessed it at poundland.
Auldheid, knowledge of financial realities and of board management of a plc is beyond the acumen of the self-appointed windbags. Advising on feasible change as you do doesn’t get you clicks on clickbait blogs.
Stirring up melodrama and strife as well as backing boycotts, which can only benefit our rivals, gets clicks and keeps unemployable bloggers in pie and chips.
Well done lads. But please don’t come around telling us you are faithful Celtic fans. You aint.

I think it was way back around 1979 time. I think John Greig was the OldCo manager at the time and it was on the back of a draining European fixture they had lost..
It was the season of a really bad winter with lots of postponements – indeed I think a Scottish cup tie (maybe Glasgow University v Stirling Albion?) was postponed close to 20 times
Imagine that ! huns penalty already🥴
Red card and pen at hate factory.
Dickinson shows his hand early.
Rangers 1-0 up – penalty and Kilmarnock down to 10 after 5 minutes.
Anyone surprised?
Anyone hate-watching their game who can comment on the merit of those decisions?
