CELTIC will face old foe Frank de Boer when they meet Inter Milan in Limerick on Saturday.

The Dutchman replaced Head Coach Roberto Mancini who was sacked by the Italian giants yesterday.

De Boer quit his role as Ajax boss in May and was linked with Everton before Ronald Koeman took over at Goodison in June.

The Hoops have come up against the former Holland international midfielder twice in recent years – in the 2013/14 Champions League group stage, where they won 2-1 in Glasgow and lost 1-0 in Amsterdam, and last season in the Europa League where Ronny Deila’s men drew 2-2 away and lost 2-1 at home.

Mancini became Inter boss in November 2014, taking the club to fourth place in the top flight last term.

However, his relationship with new owners, Suning Holdings, deteriorated over the summer.

The former Manchester City gaffer led Inter to a 3-3 draw in the Europa League at Parkhead two seasons ago before the Italians won 1-0 at home to go through on a 4-3 aggregate.
