Organisational indiscipline remains a concern

949

Yesterday’s win at Fir Park was huge for Celtic’s season but we should caution against talk of a corner being turned.  The team possessed the resilience (and Irish magician) to come from behind and beat the team who were second in the league, but we have been here before.

The Motherwell goal will cause Neil Lennon particular concern.  After losing a goal to an early corner kick against Rennes on Thursday, it seems impossible to believe that the team switched off at another corner kick, but only Beram Kayal was alert to the threat of Motherwell taking a short corner, and he was already covering a threat.

Organisational discipline is as important as having better players to the outcome of many football games.

  1. Seanbhoy69- Heard you earlier on Clyde, well done for keeping your composure under such childish and stupid provocation from Spiers and in particular Keevins. You stuck to the script and didn’t let them put words in your mouth.

If Graham Spiers thinks that Motherwell’s tactics was fair game then God help us all. No wonder Scottish football is in the state it is in.

Remember my SB in the main stand is available to you should you wish to have a face to face chat with them, Eurochamps67 can haud yer jaiket.

Thanks for posting that article. Echoes my thoughts on the wearing of the poppy.

Not for all of course but for many it has become a fashion appendage as Robert Fisk stated.

I privately remember those who have lost their lives in many wars spanning many decades. But I don’t need to be seen to do it.

  3. I respect Seanbhoy loads but trying to reason with Keevins and co is a complete waste of time,,,for a guy of his age it is embarrassing listening to him and some of the things he says!!!

As for the smell on here,,,,,Seanbhoy just ignore this plum, who cares what he thinks or has to say,,,,,,a fud of the highest order!!

    Hail hail

I don’t want to start the poppy debate but the article is spot on. I have worn the poppy, I have donated to the charity. many moons ago half the family were british army, half were republicans: I’m proud of both.

I had a civilized argument with an English fella last year. He pointed out that a lot of young people in England wear the poppy because they know a friend who was killed or injured badly in Afghanistan or Iraq.

At least these young people are wearing it for a reason. It’s the vacuous fashion accessory look and tv fascism that forces everyone to wear them that I can’t stand.

Speirs, particularly, was trying to put words in my mouth tonight.

I said it as I saw it yesterday.

I stuck to the facts, but as usual they don`t like that.

    Hail Hail mate.

I wasn’t having a go m8,,,just the thought of Keevins and co sitting in the studio sniggering at you while you try to make a valid point just boils my blood!!!!

I had to turn it off earlier, before i smashed the tranny to bits,,,,Keevins and co have no class,,,sniggering like little schoolkids,,,Feckin embarrassment so they are!!!

    Hail hail

  9. Joe Chalmers looks a player. I should know this, but what is his relationship (if any) with Stevie?

Were you on early on clyde? I don’t think I could listen to all that again.

I heard you as well and thought you were immense in face of the fuds trying to ridicule you, heevins had a wee dig at you later, total nob, the game in scotland is dead or as near as dead you can get.

Sort the referees, sort the problem.

Big problem, it will never be sorted in scotland, the only was is to resign, you know a part of me thinks that if we threaten to resign, that might just be enough for the powers to wise up, but I doubt it.

Resign Celtic, you know it makes scence.

  12. Wotte wants more James Forrests

I wonder what he thought of Richmond allowing Forrest to be booted with impunity yesterday

  13. When you look at these under 19 kids, and add the youngsters in the first team (Forrest, Wanyama, Matthews, Rogne, Stokes, Ki, Kayal & Hooper all 23 or under) the future looks very rosy. It does however show the need for a good experienced spine to the team to help develop these players and allow them to reach their potential.

Sell/release the deadwood, sign a few old heads and bring though the youngsters now instead of waiting.

  14. THE EXILED TIM

    Hail Hail amigo.

The best refereeing performance I have seen in the last few years was

when we had the referee from Luxembourg when the referees here `withdrew their labour`.

Im sure that was the terminology they used.

    :)

Does that mean his namesake, David, remains this years International Hide and Seek Champion?

  16. MWD – you’ll not get your survey on P&B as too many threads have been started up, essentially on the same thing, and many posters are getting hacked off with them.

I think, given the number of threads we’re talking about over the last few months, that all you’ll get is derision and nobody will answer the survey, which is unfortunate as the threads that have pee’d everyone off are usually one-upmanship whereas your survey is a genuine attempt to gather a broad opinion.

    sorryCSC

I agree, pity we blew it 2-2 if I recall and I think we had a good goal chalked off, not a bother it was an honest mistake by the lino.

Some of our refs are no bad, thompshun for instance, when he oficiates in europe he is decent enough, books players for tackles that deserve a booking, not when Celtic are involved, a different kettle of fish.

They are pandering to the hun agenda, they are cheating.
