Our duty to develop Holm

134

Odin Holm (21) was the player to miss out on the Champions League squad, announced yesterday.  Last season he came on in defeats at Feyenoord and Atletico Madrid.  A red card in Rotterdam, Celtic’s second of the night, is a symbol of the player’s first season in Scotland.

The last 12 months have largely been a write-off for Odin due to illness.  Despite missing out on Europe, he made brief substitute appearances in the first three league games of the season.

Even through his travails last season, we saw enough to know there is potential in Odin.  It is Celtic’s duty to develop that potential.  Once we are past the international breaks, the fixture schedule ahead is packed.  Playing in a supposedly weak league should provide ample opportunity to rest those playing in the Champions League while developing the likes of Odin.

My apologies, there is a fault with the advert generator today.  We’re on it.

Agree about Callum at least 2 more years from him educating the younger guys how to play his role .

Could Ralston have played the ball out with his left first time rather than trying to get his right into position ………the bhoy has hardly had a break two instances and cost two goals although the Swiss goal was wonder goal.

    SFTB – yip.

And punctuated with the age old “praise through gritted teeth” phrase …

    “I have to say ….”

(because he doesn’t WANT to say)

The slow brain being forced to think fast and speak fast … e.g. in a commentary role … betrays it’s feelings

Deja vu all over again for Sconny Botland.

Grant Hanley is limited but he gives his all.

    He was genuinely gutted.

    Only saw from 70 minutes.

    Bad result but some promise?

That McGregor one really pissed me off tbh. It was a world class ball from Calmac and that wee hun tool praised McTominay’s run. Totally ignored the pass from Callum.

He was also picking on every wee thing Ralston did wrong or not great. Wee fud!

It is Huns galore now when watching Scottish football on TV. Especially the BBC.

    EBT McCann – turncoat McCann

I had an acquaintance who was very very very friendly with the mccann family, due tae a hobby which they shared with him, they were avid Tims including a wee uncle grhs, who was a member of the St Catharine’s CSC, now there are former Celts who have played with them but I have NEVER heard any, other than the bin bag miller who was NEVER a Celt, talk about us with so much venom, when TB decided against signing him due to his preference for wee Eddie Munster he turned against us, as for being an international, he only got his caps after signing for them and yet he scored the same number of goals for them as he did the calvinists despite playing 35% more games for the huns.

  10. Two stick on pens, but not a word about Mc Ginn losing the ball dilly dallying in the middle.

Ralston,Mc Tominey,Christie,Robertson, very good in a very good game we did not deserve to lose.Striker, lack of,kills us.
