Partick Thistle game doesn’t register

474

While captain Scott Brown will return to first team action this week, with the league encounter with Aberdeen out of the way, Brendan Rodgers will almost certainly continue to rest players ahead of the teams next meeting in the Scottish Cup Final.

Getting it right for Hampden is only one aspect the manager will be concerned about. Celtic’s first Champions League qualification round starts eight weeks tomorrow, between now and then the entire squad has to get their annual rest period and a significant portion of preseason. Several will also be on international duty four weeks from now.

While you and I want to see out the league programme undefeated, it is more important players are rested for the various cup finals which take place between now and the end of August. The Partick Thistle game on Thursday doesn’t register on what is important.

Celtic FC Foundation

Six days from now, while you are watching Celtic skelp Hearts, I’ll be running my first marathon, in aid of the Celtic Foundation.  I’m now in mild panic about what lies ahead, but on this Anniversary month, it’s important that we pay more than lip service to what being a Celtic supporter is all about.

If you are able to, please support the Foundation here.  If you are unable to, perhaps you know the Hail Mary…….

Thank you for the unbelievable support I’ve received so far.  There will be a time on Sunday when it will fuel the legs.

I stayed in 457 Calley road until I was four before moving to Castlemilk.

I was down most weekends playing football Q square. My older brother and sister went ST Francis for a while.

If I remember my sister was a May queen or such in a procession , I was only young but I remember as it was a big thing family wise. HH

Good evening CQN, looking to see if anyone of a legal mind or anyone with experience of parking fines can help out.

Have seen previous commentary re private companies sending out penalties for parking in supermarket car parks etc, my crime was committed at the Tesco at the Forge whilst I was supporting my team.

Letters initially came from the company itself then moved on to DRP (Debt Recovery Plus) and now Zenith Collections.

Today I have been offered a reduced fine of £136 instead of £160 to be paid within 2 weeks or their client may consider starting legal action.

So far I have ignored everything but I’m keen to know that I’m definitely on safe ground as I don’t want a CCJ against my name.

    Any advice greatly appreciated.

    Hail Hail

Maybe Ronny could have done with a John Terry in the dressing room :-)

By all accounts as soon as Stan Petrov game was announced JT was offering his services just to play at Celtic Park…….. Although if not invited he would have grabbed a top and jumped on the park at the end any ways :-)

Calleyroad, are you thinking of Walshy, I’m MG. I must know, or know of you and your brothers. Walshy lived on 6. I ran about with Stephen MacDonald, RIP.

Since Chelsea are on tonight the full back who has just scored Azilaquetra (sic) has played every minute of every EPL game this season….that’s some going these days, especially for the highly inflated EPL mob, although he couldnae lace Kieran Tierney’s boots :-)

  6. Reggie,

I get where your coming from, honest I do.

We’re never going to convince one another, so happy to leave it as a difference of opinion. Been good talking with you, :-)

  10. For JimTim and others earlier `- I, too, was getting the same hassle with the same pop-ups. Driving me mad, then just the now an alarm pops up saying something like “Danger..this iPhone has been corrupted with a virus which has damaged your battery. This must be turned off immediately….and so on and so forth. I’m reliably informed by daughter number one that this is fake news. She just pressed the close button and all’s fine again. Hope you don’t get the same message.

As to Reggie…..Read BSR at 4:23 and stop feeding.

Now going to read back and catch up with the non-fake quick news

I was born at 167 Caledonia road. Yes the May procession was a big deal back then. I was train barer to the lovely Maureen Donnelly in 65. A big honour for the families.

I know big Frank well but I’m guessing you’re a good bit younger than me? My brother Brian played for the club late 70s.

Good evening CQN, looking to see if anyone of a legal mind or anyone with experience of parking fines can help out.

Ignore it, in theory they can take you to court but not worth the effort for one fine, they chase the repeat offenders that owe them thousands

MissGFTB got a right few sets yesterday, I only have one, my mums, worth more than a lottery win, the sisters & brothers all shared any money left equally, I got her crucifix, wedding ring & rosary beads, all far more important than the money….. I spent half my childhood looking for her wedding ring, purse and rosary beads :-)
