Got to say it was nice to see 4-4-2 getting an outing, Eddie and the griff paired up well and could be a very fruitful partnership if allowed to continue.
———–
Was it a 442? I’m still trying to figure out the formation, lots in the middle, only the full backs out wide
for all that the support hate each other, i really do think there were some old rangers managers who would not just have watched him doing that. gerrard is a disgrace.

There are emails at the SFA that demonstrate collusion to undermine the rules, remember the ‘UEFA are too busy to properly verify the submission’ mail between the SFA and rangers.

That was abysmal. Yes the refs are determined to ensure we lose – ignored a blatant penalty for us and gave one against us which no neutral observer would agree with. But that’s the Scottish reality which our club refuses to challenge vigourously. Too dependent on the “Old Firm” revenues bollocks.
Re Frimpong’s non-penalty – maybe his only run to the bye-line (his ace-card) so why did he keep passing across or, more often, back? Not his natural game. Why did Taylor, who had a good game, never get to the bye-line? Dud coaching/tactics?
Can we afford to have Ntcham and Rogic in the same team? Don’t think so – Christie is more direct and effective than either.
But the key message is our lack of tactical nous unger Neil Lennon and his coaching team. They can’t see when it is not working and are incapable of changing the setup. We’ll face much better teams than Thistle over the rest of the season (credit to McCall for good bus-parking organisation) but everything Thistle did was predictable and should have resulted in a wiser tactical approach.
Instead, the game was open until Calmac’s deflected goal. Had he not scored, the ref, Muir, would have secured the desired draw. Some of you can’t bear to mention Rodgers but he would never have set up that way and, even if he had, he would have sorted it.
You can’t bring in a top manager for a couple of years and then go backwards if you want to compete at a corrupt Euro level. Are we happy to be big fish in a wee league or competitors? If the latter, we need an pmangager and coaching team

Having had the chance to see the Thistle pen again I’ve changed my mind . Frimpong was caught on the wrong side (although he wouldn’t have been expecting Julien’s mistake) but uses his pace to get back and put in a good challenge . Even Craigan agrees it was not a pen .
Our pen for the shove on Frimps was much more obvious….no dubiety….simple cheating.

For me the main advantage is if they continue to play together, we will have two fully match sharp forwards, that will reduce the risk when one gets injured. Introducing either polish pat or Bayo as subs weekly will provide sharpness and allow them to integrate into the partnership allowing either to stake a claim on the partnership as long as form becomes the overriding factor for selection. Right now I saw enough from Eddie and the Griff to maintain their partnership in the next team.
