Two months ago I thought our football was awful to watch. Disjointed, slack, lacking pace and accuracy and depending on individual brilliance rather than team performance.
Oh boy, what a remarkable transformation. Fair play to the Boss. I didn’t think he had the right stuff to manage Celtic.
Lets hope for a similar result/performance or the hootenanny will be a ruined

I thought the ref was decent enough tonight. A few wrong calls but some in our favour and the game flowed nicely with advantage played as it should be on 1-2 occasions.

I was a bit worried about this one after the pantomime appearance against Sevco and eyes turning to the Inter game. A few months ago we might have tripped up in a game like this. Not tonight – sounds like things are coming together.
Amazing debut for the new Bhoys – well done them, Ronny and all the team.
And I still think we should sign Guidetti. Heart on the sleeve type. Once he commits he will be a hell of a player for us IMO.
Happy Tim in Oslo! HH

At last we have a strong spine in the team.
Consistancy with the final ball will complete the transformation.

Excellent all round performace from Celtic, never really out of 3rd gear. Team is beginning to purrrrrr at the moment. Can’t wait for the Inter game to see if we really have progreesed.

Superb.
One observation. That was a very similar style to the games versus Legia with the set up and style. The players we have are more capable of playing the style but some of the midfielders coming back to receive the ball with their back to the goal around the half way one been to make quicker decisions and or improve their first touch.
Charlie Mulgrew looked woeful in those games as he was continually caught in possession or have the ball away in that position. If you watch the top teams they are able to pass to a player vet quickly or turn and face the goal we are attacking.
The same thing happens further up the park but with less risk as we are further from our goals.
Lenny had us playing forward via the touch line whereas Ronny is looking for the faster route forward we might get there but hopefully we are a bit more cautious and play the percentages in those areas v Milan.

Well done the new Bhoys both played well Rony is doing a great job he freshened the team up tonight and the team just carried on playing football. It was hard to pick out the MOM but I would if forced go for Biton he was available to take the ball for 90 mins and he stroked it about as though he was George Connelly. H.H.

Once again, with over 60% of the possession, we manage more infringements than the opposition. 14 fouls by us; 9 by Thistle.
Anyway, an exhilarating performance.

Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on
Delaney’s, another good win for us tonight and doing it with a bit of style and a bit to spare.
Things are looking better for us and the break in Gran Canaria seems to have refreshed us and done the the team the world of good.
I was checking back last night’s posts and I remember the Motherwell game you were talking around March 1976 when we won 4 nil. You are spot on about Kenny’s goal that day, he was just outside the right hand side of the Well penalty box, cut in crossed with his left foot and the ball ended up in the net, very much wind assisted.
A few weeks bfore or after that game, we beat Hibs 4 nil also with Kenny scoring a n absolute belter, curling the ball home with two or three Hibs players round him. It was one of the best goals he scored for us.
DeniaBhoy on
One thing looks like a certainty, the Inter players won’t be given time to pass the ball around without 2-3 players snapping at their heels. They won’t be given to settle, something I think they would have got last year.
