  1. GlassTwoThirdsFull on

Reckon the throw-in that led to the penalty must have been taken about 15 yards forward from where the ball went out.

  2. That’s as poor a 45 mins we seen since Brendan came, as others had commented a bit worrying given we had hoped the beak would see us reenergised.

Not one player playing well as yet.

  3. Difficult to watch. Possession, passing and inventiveness all poor. What were they working on during the Winter break? Thistle have been poor too.

  4. we were crying out and couldn’t get to the winter break quick enough and regroup in dubai , i have seen no improvement ,if anything we have gone back further.

my goodness CG must be a poor player if he can’t get a game in front of ML.

  5. I think Lustig is finished, sadly. I also cannot understand why we are letting Erik go when Boyatta is a total bombscare: he is completely unfocused out there, belting short passes at his team mates… We’re better off with Bitton at CH.

Midfield: MacGregor has vanished, Forrest not in the game. Ntcham head and shoulders above anyone else.

Up front: Nothing. Simply nothing. Very, very concerning.

  6. wizz wizz wizz …….where are all oor wizzers?

wrang game to bet a hoony on 4 plus….

or is their a twist and turn in the tale ….

smiley 45 to go thing ….

    Braw

  7. Too slow in the build up, we had a very good chance when OE elected to shoot himself instead of setting up Sinclair or McGregor, McG has been totally anonymous, only threats other than OE’s shot have been shots from outside the box, Tierney overlapping well no final ball as yet, clumsy defending from Lustig cost the penalty, they will play deep now no space in behind , its going to take something different than what we are doing to score. Bring on our main strikers would be a start.

Very poor first half from us….totally lacking inspiration. Let’s hope that creativity we’ve been hearing about arrives in this window. Have to stop treating this like a training match and move up a gear in the second half. Never a penalty but Mikel gave Beaton the excuse with poor defending, I think his time is up.

Need to get JF into the game too. Everything is played down our left.

Sort it out Brendan….. we need to see some payback for that fortnight in the sun.

  9. viewfaethewindae on

    Murder police.

Problem with the benched forwards is simple, they’re not match fit, still think they’re a better option.

    Where’s the spark?

  10. Folks go on about the defence but Celtic had 3 or 4 golden chances to score in the first 3 or 4 minutes – 3 of which should have been buried! We are woeful up front. We constantly squander chances or make the wrong choices – that’s the difference.

Hopefully it will all come right in the second half – COYBIG!

  11. Real test for Brendan now, this team is shot to bits and looking bereft of anything. I expected a struggle but nothing this bad. Lustig is absolutely brutal.

Griffiths is warming up here. We need him badly.

  12. The galling thing is, Thistle looked terrified of us first 10 minutes, then we slowed the game right down. As we’ve done again and again this season.

  13. Lustig is finished. His passing is poor and he is getting caught out of position far too often.

Should have been sent off. If penalty is given and he made no attempt to play ball it’s a red.

  14. Not very good, even on a wee screen we look lopsided. No penetration on our RHS compared to our LHS, I love the big mad Swede but he is a man short and teams now play on him. We should take him off go 3 at the back and get Griff on. If Moussa is for the off, why is he on the bench?

Let’s leave it to BR to fix this issue, he’s done quite well so far, but if he needs some help?

  15. we are struggling here too slow lets paly with passion and skill. I have said for a while our 1st half performances are poor and sluggish and we improve in the 2nd. The ball must be moved faster. Bring on LG

  16. This is awful…we are so pedestrian …teams have worked us out…let us play about at the back and we will make mistakes…we will be destroyed in Europe if we play like this.

I thought we were tired before Xmas but we are as bad or worse than we were against rangers. Time for Brendan to earn his money…we have gone backwards big style…Brendan has to change the way we play… We cannot play the ball about at the back with this defence…we make mistakes and every one of these costs us a goal or nearly does

  17. Awful stuff. Eddi is not a CF for us. Brendan needs to sort this now. Hook him now bring on the Griff and punt the boy.

  18. What is the Stars on

    Its ok lads don’t panic.

I read somewhere recently that we only have to win 4 games to win the treble…

Thing is…..can we win 4 games???

  19. Rodgers is cutting off his nose to spite his face with his team selection. Edouard never our first pick, neither is Ajer.

So far, so garbage, slack uninspired crap

  20. TIPPBHOY is right. Teams know how to play against us. It’s so obvious.

I’m starting to worry that Brendan can’t see it.

  21. i'vehadtochangemyname on

we don’t have last year’s team on the pitch and we don’t have last year’s performances

are our best players on the pitch ? dunno

    injuries have made us disjointed

  22. THOMTHETHIM

I agree the service to strikers is awful .

This midfield is not creating and our off the ball movement has completely disappeared .

We play like a team coached with fear.

Players are so afraid to concede possession they never take the positive option over the highest percentage pass.

Also could our defenders stop with the one step forward then freeze tactic it allows opponents to press and force us back.

  23. Been saying it for 2 yrs now about Lustig, usually slow, out of position, bad decisions, looks scared when pressed and inevitably passes back. Gives little, if anything, going forward.

Celtic are a one sided team because of him. Forrest would be twice the player with a decent right back behind him.

  24. It was a penalty as far as I could see. Mike made a mistake and pulled the forward back slightly, to be fair he didn’t go down and tried to keep going for the ball, and it was enough to impede his run. If it was us I would be screaming for it.

Overall performance has been patchy, some nice flashes of skill but too many “Bambi on ice” moments. Don’t know what conditions are like under foot but our players look like they are on tippy toes when running.

Win, lose or draw I’ll still be a Tim though so not all bad.
