    Before I go to watch the game, I remember something about you making a commitment to tell the truth on here. Since then you are into triple figures on inaccuracy.

     

     

    Gary Hooper was not booed off after the 0:0 draw.

     

     

    He was subbed by Johan Elmander after 72 minutes.

     

     

    The Norwich fans booed the substitution and chanted that Chris Hughton did not know what he was doing.

     

     

    Norwich fans have, largely, a low opinion of Elmander and still see promise in Hooper.

     

     

    I hope Gary does well with them as it will help us sell our dissatisfied players for larger fees in the future.

    The pitch looks in good nick despite all the rain.

     

     

    The League Cup Final when Thistle beat us 4-1 got its usual airing and that’s fair enough I suppose. I was at the game and all I could do at half time was laugh when my mate said with a resigned sigh, “well we can always look for 5 quick goals at the start of the second half!”

     

     

    I became friendly with Alex Rae, Thistles’ captain, later (a decent guy but a big blue-nose) and I once asked him if he ever thought back to that game.

     

     

    He looked me straight in the eye with a dead serious look and said: “Tam I begin my weekend on a Friday night with the ritual of pouring a dram and then putting the tape of that game on and wathcing it from start to finish.”

     

     

    He may have been kidding but I think not. He was also the assistant manager who put Albert Kidd on as a sub in that game so he can’t be too blue-nosed.

     

     

    Anyway at half time you can sign the petiton which closes on Tuesday. Oh and tell a friend about it. We can get to 3,000 if we all get a friend/relative to support.

    I think that with the exception of Blackman who left last November,the players mentioned were all at the club up till the end of last season.

     

     

    I only posted it as the figure mentioned is way short of what most think Joe Ledley is earning at the club.

    The 2 commentators for Celtic TV sound like they are sitting in the middle of a 1000 Partick Thistle fans.

     

    Almost like being at Firhill.
