Partnering Kelvin Wilson

704

After a couple of days away from the computer I caught up with the Ben Nevis Huddle photographs, magnificent achievement to everyone involved.  Our 1254125 project is in good hands.  I’d no idea there would be snow at the top of the mountain in June.

Have you bought your ticket for the Lions Roar event at the Kerrydale Suite on Friday evening.  It will be a great opportunity to watch the Lisbon game in the company of the Lions and enjoy a Question and Answer session afterwards.  There will also be a chance to get your picture taken, so get along.

Accurate news broke today that Celtic are in the market for a central defender.  We are not short of cover in this area of the team but no one has made an irrefutable claim for a place to partner Kelvin Wilson.

As we have often said, successful defending can only be done by a unit, not an individual, but unsuccessful defending by be achieved by anyone.  As ever, let’s hope Neil gets his first choice.

If you are still to renew your season ticket sign up for 1254125 at the same time – it’s every bit as important a part of being a Celtic fan as watching football.  If you’ve already renewed, get back and register.

You can buy Willie Wallace’ autobiography below:

Did you drive or let the Train take the strain? If driving how long did it take?

    Keep the Faith!

Drive West Lothian to West Devon regularly. Never less than 7 hours with no stops and the whole M6/M5 is a total horror show from about Preston to Taunton.

If you can afford it, do yourself a favour and have an overnighter somewhere about the Midlands en route.

Don’t even think about the direct trains unless you are on you own, have loads of money and 10 or 11 hours to spare.

    Hope this helps…

    Aulheid.

I still hold the board responsible for allowing the now dead team to win the league especially after the Stephen Fletcher debacle.. I just get called a board hater…

How much did that cost us in lost champions league revenue ?

    ======================

There were no rules breached in not signing Fletcher and you would have a job proving we would have won the title had we signed him.

That is a matter of opinion and always will be, information being leaked shows that opinions held in 2011 are becoming facts.

Rangers bet their survival in spending lots of other folks money in 2007 and especially 2008 to win titles to get at CL money. I am not sure even the signing of Fletcher would have been enough to stop that particular survival ball rolling.

The same ball that was only brought to a halt by Maribor.

The requirement is that they exit administration. They will only have to leave the SPL if they are liquidated. Hard to see liquidation kicking in before the start of the SPL. Not impossible, though, I suppose, as it’s a lot of money.

TBB said ages ago that they should just sell Tynecastle for flats development and share a ground with Livingston. That might be how they get the CVA through, exit administration and keep playing.

It’s very important, in the context of the parallels with last season, to emphasise the difference between Hearts going into administration and Rangers going into liquidation.

  5. Another thing we learned last year was that being “a major Scottish institution” doesn’t matter a damn.

  6. lennbhoy – I drove now I could tell you it took me 8 hours, however… I had a slight detour in Birmingham I was booked into a hotel but didn’t like the look of it, so decided to drive round and round and round Birmingham… ok I couldn’t find the way out the place and then ended on on the motorway heading to London!!! But what a lovely motorway it was! I arrived at 7 the next morning, having left Glasgow straight from work at 5 the previous day!! Thankfully my bhoys slept all night! On the way home I left about 10pm drove through the night and was home about 5.30!

RWE – if there are any I have never seen one!

  7. Archie Macpherson: “The gates need to be kept open at Tynecastle. What kind of league would we have without Hearts and Rangers?”

A decent sporting one if possible Archie you clown..

Had Rangers supporters been able to let go of their attachment to Ibrox they could be in charge of their club now. Not spivs.

I take it Efe will be on the near post at corners after that howler tonight??

  12. Ps I hate the jam tarts but keep them in the league as although I do not miss the currents the league and Celtic needs Hearts and the zombies would go off there decomposing nuts if the jambos remain in the league if they ever get liquidated

  13. Hen1rik.

Nae bother. More power to you.

  15. If clubs are liquidated and then restart and go right into the top league, what reward is there for any club that will balance the books & pay their debt ?

  16. It’s not about keeping anybody in the league.

What we want is for the rules to apply. All of this is in the rules. All they have to do is apply them.

It’s the same as your local pub domino league. There are rules. Things happen. You apply the rules.

  17. hen1rik

They get cash from the new club’s 500 million fans and the reflected glory of not playing in a diddy league that has undergone Armageddon.

But it’s best just to apply the rules.

“If clubs are liquidated and then restart and go right into the top league, what reward is there for any club that will balance the books & pay their debt?”

None. But that hasn’t happened. And it’s not likely to either.

  19. In fact, it’s a very important development today. We have been fed this garbage for a whole season, that Rangers were “demoted”. Of course they weren’t.

Now when Sevco fans and Sevcophants ask, or even just pause for a moment to ponder, why Hearts are not being demoted, the pretence will have to end.

  20. Maybe Hearts can contact the bold Jingle Jackson does he not know a few billionaires :))

  21. Celtic_First

Heart’s going bust could be a good opportunity to put pressure on the SFA should they deviate from the rules and also to shine a light on what they did with Sevco..

It’s an almighty mess of rule breaking and lies the SFA have created..

Just being smart to Archie Mac’s comments earlier mate wanting all the top teams in the league no matter if they go bust.

Sorry should’ve mention the bold Erchie there.

  24. We can contrast and compare the hearts and huns administration all we want.

Charlotte knows all too well about having the right info and not getting media coverage.

Hearts will get a far different admin to the huns.

We should cultivate the media and acquire an outlet who has a big enough following (out with our support) to make a difference.

All we are doing otherwise is shouting in an empty room

  25. Steinreignedsupreme on

    hen1rik 23:24 on 17 June, 2013

Erchie is a frail ole character these days. I’m not sure he understands complicated stuff.

But no matter what any of them say – liquidation can’t be reversed … unless you inhabit the world of the Legless Loon…

  26. clunks

You have to ask yourself what might have happened had no bampots shouted last year.

  27. Steinreignedsupreme is correct, liquidation cannot be reversed, but it can be avoided. That is what Hearts and their administrators have to try to do now.

When they communicate about it, I hope they take every opportunity to explain why it’s important to avoid liquidation.

“You have to ask yourself what might have happened had no bampots shouted last year.”

They would have got away with it. Some contrived excuse would have been made for the financial problems and the real story would have been buried.

So, when people like Auldheid, Paul, Phil, Corsica, Alex T, Charlotte, RTC and Mark Daly are digging around there is always a chance justice will be served.

  29. Celtic first

For sure. We need to figure a way to involve uefa/FIFA

It needs to go up a wee level and get out the country.

Thomson tried but it appears he has backed off a little. Not saying I have any answers, hoping other people here are thinking on this too

    Auldheid…keep up the good work.

IMO..It wasn’t anything to do with Flood/Fletcher, the players visibly switched off, they probably knew WGS was for the off and took their foot off the gas. Now, the season MON didn’t get to sign Paul Hartley/De La Pena, that was a different matter !!!
