Partnering Kelvin Wilson

704

After a couple of days away from the computer I caught up with the Ben Nevis Huddle photographs, magnificent achievement to everyone involved.  Our 1254125 project is in good hands.  I’d no idea there would be snow at the top of the mountain in June.

Have you bought your ticket for the Lions Roar event at the Kerrydale Suite on Friday evening.  It will be a great opportunity to watch the Lisbon game in the company of the Lions and enjoy a Question and Answer session afterwards.  There will also be a chance to get your picture taken, so get along.

Accurate news broke today that Celtic are in the market for a central defender.  We are not short of cover in this area of the team but no one has made an irrefutable claim for a place to partner Kelvin Wilson.

As we have often said, successful defending can only be done by a unit, not an individual, but unsuccessful defending by be achieved by anyone.  As ever, let’s hope Neil gets his first choice.

If you are still to renew your season ticket sign up for 1254125 at the same time – it’s every bit as important a part of being a Celtic fan as watching football.  If you’ve already renewed, get back and register.

You can buy Willie Wallace’ autobiography below:

I’m going with my mate from work. I’m meeting him in there.

The gated are opening at 1730 but my mate wants to start queuing up at around 1500.

Is this not a bit early or is it normal for a Springsteen concert?

  5. ttt,

Maybe time to get a new machine, eBay is full of really quality second hand machines, I was looking at better preserved identical machines I am currently using, sim slot turns into touch screen, cost 1600 band new 7 years ago still selling for 300, no many machines hold that much value after this long.

I remember a certain defender who was good enough for a Dutch World Cup side who was not good enough for the Celtic defence.

    And we were right

  7. ScotPatsFan,

It depends how near the front you want to be! I’m planning on arriving somewhere about 7am to get close to the front …

At Wembley I was told there were 800 people in the queue the night before the gig.

There were two Oldco shops in Belfast, the first one lasted about a year, the second one only about six months.

I took a picture of the second one with the Oldco sign, the To Let sign above it and the shutters down.Nearly sure it’s on one of my old fones.

I will give the new zombie shop about three months until it goes to the wall the same as the two Oldco shops did.

God loves a trier though,i am even starting to feel a wee bit sorry for the pathetic, wretched zombies.

    Hmmm beware of fakes!!

Plenty of stories of the likes at other concerts.

  10. GordonJ

    That’s astonishing!

I’ll settle for the middle to back area.

You don’t fancy keeping me a space at the front by any chance???

I’ll bring you a hot dog and a juice.

I remember in the 80’s queuing at CP for Aberdeen away tickets one Saturday and we were in really early. One per person!!

I think it was a Cup game.

A 10-year-old footballer is in Blue Heaven after signing for his favourite team, Rangers.

Lewis Robertson, of Barnhill in Dumbarton, was awarded a contract by the Ibrox club after impressing in the youth setup during the last year.

And proud dad Loudon can’t wait to watch his son

  12. I will be at the Boss concert tomorrow ( now that I found tickets). I will get there about 6pm as he will not come on stage until 8pm. Still get a great view, same as last time hopefully with out the rain.

  13. This CQNer will also be at the Bruce concert tomorrow evening, along with partner and 10 yr old daughter (her first stadium concert). We’re in the Main Stand though this time. Last time through a council connection working on security we managed to get into the VIP area at the front. Looking forward to it already.

I think I would have trouble getting that suggestion past the Finance Committee!

  15. mighty tim – At Wembley he was on at 7.20, albeit with a 10.35 finish to meet the curfew. I doubt if Hampden will let the show go past 11pm, so I’d expect him onstage by 7.45 – You don’t want to miss the start!

*The last 3 Dutch defenders, 2 of them centre backs, have failed to impress. And yet 1 of them plied his trade last season in the much vaunted Premiership, while another in La Liga.

This will be very interesting. Will the football authorities play it by the book this time, or just make it up as they go along like they did last year?

So for the first time in months I decide to go out of my way and listen to the 5.30 sports desk on Clyde. Hearts applying for Administration and Owen Coyle taking over at Wigan.

    ********** said on June 17, 2013 at 11:33 am

My thoughts on the legal reasons for not mentioning Charlotte have now changed from simple complicity of the MSM (although I’ll reserve my position on that for some of them) to simply the rules around reporting of ongoing police investigation, whether into charlotte herself or her information supplier or maybe even (if we are lucky) the issues that bring us here.

    _______________________________________________________________

Let me make it clear that as far as I’m aware, there is no Police Investigation looking at my particular role.

As of last week, no representatives of the SMSM has been in touch with Craig Whyte to establish the authenticity of the material so far released, nor do they show any willingness to do so.

The Daily Record and The Scottish Sun are in a complete lock down mode. They will know the reasons as to why that is the case. The rest of the SMSM are stunningly quiet also.

It’s clear that the PR guys have kicked in big time. Jack Irvine, Hay and McKerron for example know where the bodies are buried and have no hesitation in leaking information that others would prefer to keep quiet , especially so should the other party have not yet been persuaded to share the same viewpoints.

The police, according to Duff and Phelps, didn’t seem to interested in the case. A steer was given that it was probably outside the jurisdiction of the Strathclyde force given that it was an English company matter.

On that same subject, only in the last month or so have the Insolvency service stepped in with questions for Craig on matters relating to Tixway and Rangers. It’s a very slow process and a convenient one for the SMSM to use as an excuse to avoid reporting on the news.

Some newspapers are indeed heavily conflicted – they will have no hiding place soon.

It’s time for the big hitters to get involved.

As a closing point for now. The myth that Craig Whyte paid Google to remove his history has much substance to it.

Jack Irvine and Craig are fully aware of the many letters sent out to multiple sources, at considerable expense from Carter Ruck from 2009 onwards.

All seemed to have the desired effect and old articles promptly pulled. Google can only report on what it sees as visible content. Apart from the odd fans forum/blog – the main area of attack was on the news aggregators. All appeared to comply and Google searches performed at a later date would not contain the items of significant interest.

The again, if a Political Journalist of the Year (2012) appears to give Jack Irvine the nod that his client is under review, what trust can we have in any of the media to simply report without favour?
