Celtic players appear to have a justifiable confidence in each other. They have beaten their four nearest league challengers, scoring an incredible 15 goals in the process, qualified for the Champions League group stage and knocked Manchester City out of their stride in a manner which seemed improbable, considering their first competitive game of the season in Gibraltar.
Justifiable confidence extends to the support as well. Celtic players and opponents alike know the levels of support and encouragement the home team can expect from Celtic Park. “You’ll need to take on all of us”, appears to be the mantra. And that really is improbable.
Don’t be fooled by talk of Borussia Monchengladbach being weaker than last season. Last night I watched Bayer Leverkusen, who sit below Gladbach in the Bundesliga, give Tottenham a long and taxing evening. They will be fit, skilful and accomplished across the field.
This will be a huge test, but it’s not the first we’ve faced in Europe. You know the job required, let’s get on with it.

George Square is absolutely rammed with young Hoops – walked through as it opened and the Celtic song was blaring out across the city centre. Absolutely brilliant!! The majority of people are walking about with smiles on their faces – however – it’s easy to spot the Sevco supporters, their faces look like they’ve tanned a litre of “pure ragin” lemon juice!!!!

Agreed, Paul. The Bundesliga is a very strong league. Wolfsburg were in a similar position last season and were a whisker away from reaching the semis. Schalke reached the semis a few years ago in a season they fought relegation.

The railway station will be built under Almore’s cafe, which will be found in the museum. From upstairs in the museum a monorail will transport season ticket holders to the new upper tier of the south stand.
The only downside will be losing Moussa Dembele for 20 million…

Right to point out that Borussia are above Leverkusen in the alt Bundesliga, who were unlucky not to beat one the EPL’s best teams. There are indeed some on here who have Die Dreistigheit to describe the Prussians as ‘mediocre’. (I would put Turkeybhoy in the frame here, but instead I will give him a break and wish him Alles Gute zum Geburtstag instead and hope that gets past the moderators.) A win tonight would be a fantastic result and make no mistake, put the Munchens under the cosh and maybe even, even, put some more pressure on Pep’s version of Manchester.

We have been working to improve the user experience on CQN as I mentioned a few nights ago.
Quite a bit of this work is now completed and it would be useful to hear if this who have been experiencing problems are seeing an improvement.
As of this morning, the set up on iOS has been tweaked to minimise issues with standard ads.
On rich media placements, we have amended the campaigns running on the site to limit the volume of ads appearing.
There is spam code appearing that is incredibly frustrating, and we have searched for this and removed it for the moment. This isn’t revenue generating for CQN.
We asked an independent IT professional to have a look on a before and after basis and also asked his permission to reproduce a summary of his comments here:
“No major problems. Quick enough to load up.
“There is a full screen ad on the iPhone which can be closed immediately and the usual banner ads.
“No full screen ads on the iPad; the usual banner and sidebar ads.
“Both load relatively quickly and are useable and readable.
“Put the ad blockers on and all working fine.
“No perceptible difference in speed (unless you are using a stopwatch and then it’s 0.817 seconds slower on the iPad).
“Bottom line is that if people have old phones, tablets, laptops and operating systems then it will be slower anyway and many of the current ad blockers have (unsurprisingly) been updated to work with current technology!”
If you have a software update available on your device it is worth using that option.
I have also mentioned before that on i-Phone you can turn Javascript off in Setting – Safari – Advanced – Turn Javascript off.
You will need to turn back on for some sites (Phil’s for example).
