BAYERN MUNICH No.1 Manuel Neuer, rated the best goalkeeper in the world by many critics, is looking forward to his Celtic Park debut.

The German international superstar will go head to head with Leigh Griffiths and Co in the east end of Glasgow on Tuesday, October 31 – and he admitted he was “excited” at the prospect.

He said: “I’ll be facing Celtic for the first time. Celtic Park is known for its amazing atmosphere, so this draw gets me excited.

“I am sure it will be the same for the fans, as well.

“Actually, it is an interesting draw. Paris Saint-Germain, of course, will also be a cracker.

“I’ve never played them before, so I am really looking forward to it.”

Hasan Salihamidzic, the former Bayern player and now their sporting director, will be able to fill in Neuer about what to expect at Parkhead.

He said: “I played against Celtic in 2003 and it was the loudest stadium I’ve ever been inside.

“PSG is also a spectacular draw. The club with the biggest name and I’m really looking forward to it.

“We have to prepare well for all our opponents if we want to top the group”.

Bayern players were quick to tweet their reaction to yesterday’s Champions League the draw in Monaco.

Thomas Muller said: “What an interesting group. I like it.”

Franck Ribery tweeted: “Paris, Anderlecht, Celtic Glasgow – okay, let’s do it!”
