POSTECOGLOU PUZZLER

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has a puzzle to solve as he plots a fifth successive win for Celtic when they take on AZ Alkmaar in the first leg of their Europa League play-off final at a packed Parkhead tonight.

Winger Liel Abada is in the squad for the crucial encounter after being rested in the 3-2 League Cup victory over Hearts on Sunday.

With Ryan Christie injured and also missing against the Edinburgh men, it gave the manager the opportunity to play both Odsonne Edouard and Kyogo Furushashi in the attack together for the first time with the French ace leading the line and the Japanese speedster on the left. James Forrest completed a front three on the right flank.

HANDS UP IF YOU’RE HAPPY IN PARADISE…Kyogo Furuhashi celebrates one of his five Celtic goals.

Christie, who had been operating on the left flank, has failed to recover from a bruised foot knock and misses the tie against the Dutch outfit. Now Postecoglou will have to make his mind up if he goes with the three on Sunday or bring back the impressive Israeli outside-right and switch Forrest to the left.

Or to accommodate Edouard and Kyogo he could make a straight swap with Abada replacing the 30-year-old Scotland international.

It’s now down to the Greek-Australian who has made all the right calls in the past four outings.

SQUAD: Hart, Bain, Barkas, Ralston, Starfelt, Bitton, Welsh, Urhoghide, Murray, Montgomery, Taylor, McCarthy, Soro, McGregor, Robertson, Turnbull, Kyogo, Edouard, Griffiths, Ajeti, Rogic, Abada and Forrest.
