Agreeing on important topics, like wages, seems a straightforward business for some. You wonder if agreeing compensation is more of a challenge.
Celtic and confirmed prime target Brendan Rodgers have lots to discuss, not least who will make it into his backroom team. Chris Davies was considered the power behind the throne when they were both I’m Glasgow before.
Chris was the technician, Brendan’s main sounding board and tactical resource. At 38, after 13 years as a Rodgers protégé, he will have options of a manager’s of his own. I respect Chris greatly but wonder if Brendan needs a fresh pair of eyes after do many years.

MAESTRO
Agreed. I’ll definitely keep an eye on his career. Be interesting to see if he was one that got away or whether we dodged a bullet.
“Every player likes to leave something that people can remember them by and maybe the Huddle is mine at Celtic. I’m delighted to see it’s still going strong, because it’s a brilliant way of uniting the players and the fans. It’s in the fabric of Celtic now.”

Mikey Johnson likely to start v Greece tonight 👊
Here’s hoping BR can have the same effect on Mikey’s career as he did with Jim Forrest in 2016.

Have to remember he saw an unprecedented level of honest mistakes, which he pissed us fans off by constantly saying he’d have to take it on the chin.
Felt for him a bit, as he was doing a decent job and was basically cheated out of a few key results.
The Hans Anderson publication,Ibrox News, reckons Brendan has got his hands full trying to match their team this season,as they have already done their signings early, and stolen a March on him.Lammers, the non scoring striker being the latest Galactico to join. They state the form of Celtic after the split, should be worrying for him.
Where do you start with these Cretins. They actually stun you with their stupidity.

We’re back in Dalyan……Thunderstorms and rain but very, very enjoyable.
The meeja are full of Brenda’s attacking style and how it will be as you were with Angeball.
That style certainly worked at Leicester did it not.
Brenda, not for me

Spaniel,
Yep,must be all over.Next week,Scorching.Enjoy.Was supposed to be down in Dalyan for 3 days from Monday, but Dog sitter let down.
Bugger.Enjoy.
Was chatting to a Celtic supporting friend yesterday.
He socialises widely. I don’t
He talks to Sevco fans. I don’t
He has time on his hands to scan online football comment & opinion. I don’t
Anyway, he tells me from the above that Sevco fans truly believe they are strong favourites to win the league next season.
It’s astounding.
Now I personally have no complacency.
We’ve got work to do.
And Sevco may very well win the league.
But what is truly bewildering is their recurring ability to believe they are top dogs based on zero facts.
“For Sale : Ocean front condo in Kansas” stuff
🤦🤦
When ramping up consists of:
A has been, freebie GK who hasn’t caught a competitive ball in over a year.
A journeyman striker with 6 goals since season 18/19
A championship crock, whose knee has kept him out since February.
A championship RB from 16th placed Stoke, Chelsea prodigy who never played a league game there.
Be afraid Timmy. Be very afraid.

Come on Bhoys. I don’t think I could stand a weekend of Chinese whispers.
Put us all out of our misery.
Big Wavy
Not to mention the loss for zero ROI on their 50 million spondoolies striker. And a few others who came, saw and departed.
In my current family, work , and social circles I barely have any contact at all with Sevco supporters.
The ones I do encounter we never talk football, I just dont bring it up.
Big fella who works for me actually said the best thing about working with me is I dont rub it in after results, I think the term might be “suffered enough”.
He was honest around the deid rubber game admitting it meant nothing, no such thing as bragging rights when it doenst bring any trophies.
中国人窃窃私语。
Turkeybhoy, once – aye but twice ??????. Spaniel will be at yer ankles :)
The first Ashes test has just bowled off at Edgbaston.
5 days of cricket heaven.
Got a birthday dinner in Baillieston tonight so feet up this afternoon watching TV and checking for white smoke.
It’s not bad at all this retirement lark.
Go Aussies.

Have to disagree on their new keeper. Would have taken him in a second. Reckon he’ll prove to be a very good acquisition for them. Hopefully we put so many past him, he’s redundant in the games v us, but he’s a very good keeper none the less and surprised they got him. Must be on a fortune.
The rest all all wannabe’s and never have been’s. We have too much quality in the squad for them, which Brendan will make even better with his demand for improvements.

I seriously wouldnt recognise any of the new huns players if i passed them bye in sauchiehall street.
at hampden games, their subs were warming up and i didnt know who they were.
i just dont pay attention anymore
John Kennedy staying?
Great, give the management job to John once BR’s ego catches up with him again and he feels he has restored his reputation sufficiently to jump ship again back to the fodder clubs of the EPL…..
BHOY FROM THE BOYNE on 16TH JUNE 2023 11:27 AM
If BR does go to the EPL in a few years then he will have been successful.
No ambition manager will want to play at Livingston, Kilmarnock for ever.
As for JK, by all accounts a great coach. But at 39 he needs to fly the nest.
HH.
Back to Basics. Could you tell your mate that I have some magic beans to sell, and would be happy to offload them to any gull……. err interested sevconts for a reasonable price.
Happily, there is an inexhaustible supply.
Greenpinata
You are correct we continually seek to update Celtic Park, and we continue to seek opportunity to benefit and enhance us and put foundations in for future.
All aspects of advantage gained from any development will be fully costed in a cost benefit analysis,Almores cafe etc
Plenty offer to do and at that level many will be discarded, just like here there would be a wide range of opinion, some taken on board some discarded, the main thing for me is that future generations experience Celtic.
Put the suncream on .Enjoy
Was speaking to a London-born Palace fan last week.
He reckons Butland is a real good keeper – better than Joe, he said: Just unlucky to be at clubs with better ones.
Is it too early to moan that whichever manager comes in, I hope they beef up and mongrelise our gentlemanly midfield a bit more; specially for the Bun-fights ?

That’s a pity about your trip to Dalyan. Would’ve been nice to meet up.

Good afternoon from the Tolbooth. Glasgow Cross looking absolutely gorgeous in the sunshine 🌞.
Loving the potential for 25 days of great test match cricket ahead. A welcome distraction from the football.
Bazzball vs Australia…..the world champions.
No hype needed.
All quiet on the Western front !!!!!
On the second time around senario
I have a couple of mates who have gone through a messy (cost a fortune) divorce only to remarry (happily) a second time
The boys tell me, second time around, you go through the all the things that went wrong the first time to make sure there is no misunderstanding on the rules – this makes life less complicated
Also having been unsuccessful the first time there is a greater desire to make it work the second time
They also say the sex is better but that’s for another forum
Perhaps Brendan is just making sure the sex is going to be good
But maybe Peter is saying there is only going to be sex once a week
Maybe Brendan wants more than that
DD does not care how much sex is going on as long as Brendan signs a Prenup – he is not getting the house if it goes tits up
Forgive my nonsense this morning – boredom can do that
Let’s hope for a glimmer of positiveness from Paul67 today
I hope no one has the hiccups

Butland eh? Good acquisition? Need to see you working out for that one fella?
Last time he was trusted to any degree, in 19/20, with Stoke City, they conceded 68 goals in the championship, finishing 15th. He was noted for making some horrendous mistakes and dropped for it. A story throughout his career.
He seems a high profile risk to me. A name from the past, at his low ebb, that will allow the Huns to pretend they are relevant still. Classic Hun philosophy.
I would have been more worried had they got themselves a young, modern Euro keeper with a big sell-on for obvious reasons.
Let’s see but it screams high risk to me. And they don’t tend to do those very well in Govan.
