=CELTIC have been linked with Northern Ireland international midfielder Isaac Price.
The 19-year-old midfielder is poised to leave Everton at the end of his contract in the summer – and the Hoops scouts have been alerted to the situation, according to a report in the Liverpool Echo.
Ange Postecoglou got a close-up view of Price when the teams met in Sydney in November during the World Cup Finals break.
WATCHING BRIEF…Ange Postecoglou watches Celtic in action against Everton in Sydney in November.
The highly-rated prospect played from the start in the goalless draw, but dropped off the Goodison Park club’s radar as the league resumed.
Now Price will quit the Merseyside outfit as he seeks first-team opportunities elsewhere and, ironically, he has been reported to be interesting Belgian club Standard Liege, currently managed by ex-Celtic gaffer Ronny Deila.
As in the case of Moussa Dembele when he left Fulham for the Hoops in the summer of 2016, Price will cost a transfer fee of around £400,000 in compensation.
The classy kid was tipped for a massive future by ex-boss Frank Lampard and has already played twice for his country at the highest level.
