LUIS PALMA has revealed he feels “privileged” to have joined Olympiacos on a loan-to-buy deal.
Celtic’s Honduran international left-winger flew into Athens yesterday to complete the temporary switch to the Greek giants.
There is a chance he could make a quickfire debut for Super League leaders in their away match at Levadiakos this afternoon.
The Europa League Conference title holders are in pole position with 44 points from 20 games while their opponents are struggling in third-bottom place with 26 fewer points from the same amount of outings.
NOW YOU SEE ME…Luis Palma races away from grounded Dundee defender Ryan Astley in the recent 3-3 draw at Dens Park – one of the Honduran’s last outings for the champions.
Palma beamed as he arrived back in Greece for the first time since his £3.5million move to the Hoops in the summer of 2023 from Aris Thessaloniki.
The flamboyant touchline ace, speaking in a report in the Daily Record, said: “I feel privileged to be here.
“I came to the biggest team in Greece and I hope to contribute to the team’s efforts.
“I will do my best to help Olympiacos.”
Palma scored 10 goals and contributed 10 assists in his debut campaign at Celtic, but has made only two starts this season after falling out of favour.
Comeback Bhoy Filipe Jota, who has returned to the champions after an 18-month absence, has been included in Brendan Rodgers’ matchday squad for today’s Premiership encounter against Motherwell at Fir Park.
