PSG MEGASTARS ‘AT WAR’

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN’S £200million man Neymar and team-mate Edinson Cavani have had a spectacular behind-the scenes fall-out.

And, according to reports from France, the Brazilian wants the club to sell the Uruguayan!

Both starred in their side’s 5-0 Champions League victory over Celtic in Glasgow last week, but Head Coach Unai Emery has been left with a simmering situation that could tear the club apart.

The megastars were involved in an embarrassing on-field disagreement during Sunday night’s 2-0 win over Lyon with the pair arguing over a penalty-kick. Cavani, the team’s usual spot-kick expert who scored one against Craig Gordon, took the award and the keeper saved easily.

According to respected daily sports paper L’Equipe, tension rose further in the dressing room after the game.

Cavani, who scored 49 times last season and has already claimed nine times this term, left the field immediately after the full-time whistle, refusing to join the rest of his team-mates in saluting the club’s supporters.

He waited in the dressing room for his colleagues to arrive and then reportedly stopped Neymar in his tracks, telling him in Spanish that he was unhappy with the club’s new poster boy’s attitude.

According to witnesses, Neymar responded before Cavani stood up and went face-to-face with the Brazilian, only for club captain Thiago Silva and Marquinhos – two other members of PSG’s Brazilian contingent – to intervene.

Cavani showered and promptly left through a back door within 20 minutes of the final whistle.

Now there are reports Neymar has told PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khalifi the relationship is “broken” and playing together is “totally impossible”.

It is understood the former Barcelona star wants Cavani to be sold during the January transfer window.
