PUKKI’S PLEDGE TO BRONDBY

CELTIC’S Finnish flop Teemu Pukki has promised Brondby they will see the best of him next season.
Pukki, who was on loan at the Danes last season, has made the deal permanent with the Hoops accepting £750,000 for the striker who cost £2million from Schalke in August 2013.
The 25-year-old frontman scored only seven goals in 38 appearances for the SPFL champions before his original temporary switch to the Superliga outfit.
Pukki, who completed the campaign as the club’s top scorer with a haul of 11, said: “I had a lot of playing time last season, which was the goal when I came here, so I’m happy.
”And now I know all my team-mates and other people at the club, so it’s nice I don’t have to start over and get to know people at a new club.
“Now I can focus solely on Brondby and it is my personal goal to do better than last year.
“I still feel I can develop as a player.”
