NorrieM might be right – the club may be making private representations over this matter. Who can say for sure? Thing is, our suits are in this peculiarly Celtic bind:
If they don’t say something, it will further diminish their integrity with many jaundiced fans (like me frinstance)
If they do call it our hrs before a ‘big match’, non-Celts will put it down to very green, sour grapes.
If they waive a principle to accommodate national squad optimisation, they’re still enabling the pochle.
I’d rebuild the principles route, but then I’m not CEO or maj shareholder of an entertainment industry brand.
I haven’t posted on here since the start of the Scottish Independence campaign in 2014 was it?
I said then that the SG had rigged the the cover up of the collapse of Rangers two years previously.
I suggested that the SG had threatened Celtic PLC with the closure of or suspension of the Celtic FC from participation in Scottish football because of non dealt with child abuse issues – if – Celtic PLC had dealt with Celtic supporters concerns surrounding the cheating of mainly Celtic supporters by the corruption at Rangers FC and pursued Res 12 Rangers Tax avoidance issues etc.
I said that Celtic supporters were committing two very obvious mistakes and that they would pay dearly for these mistakes.
1. Voting for a SG that blatantly hates Celtic FC and Celtic supporters.
2. Giving season book or any other monies to a Celtic PLC board who had been obviously cowed by the SG and would bend over backwards to avoid censure from SG even if it meant stabbing Celtic supporters in the back over the Rangers corruption issues and – any – issue that would inevitably arise between Celtic supporters or Celtic FC and the SG.
I remember being called “Out of touch” and “Celtic PLC know what the consequences would be if they acted against Celtic supporters as you stupidly suggest” and many other sly put downs with more vulgar words that thankfully the site administration deleted at the time.
Well….who is out of touch now? Seven years this has gone on for.
Celtic supporters voting for a SG that undeniably detests everything about Celtic FC and its supporters.
Celtic supporters giving money to a PLC board who stabs Celtic supporters in the back 100% of the time.
Celtic supporters are the common denominator in all of this and to make matters worse, most of the Celtic supporters who are responsible for all of this are university graduates. What are they being taught I wonder and by whom?
I didn’t really believe in 2014 that Celtic supporters would be so easily led. I feared it. But I thought the Celtic supporters would’ve cottoned on. But sadly they didn’t.
What have we really and truly become as a club and as a supporter base?
Because the fears that I had in 2014 and have proved to be with foundation are now multiplied off the radar.
It has now got to the extent that, for me anyway, if this just now is going to be the ongoing status of Celtic FC and the same aloof status of Celtic supporters then maybe it would be better to put the locks on the door and call it a day.
What Celtic supporters like me who saw this coming and got out are now being asked to watch is akin to watching the assisted suicide of Glasgow Celtic FC and that is something that is causing unbearable pain in knowing that very clever people are financing and voting for all of this and they don’t seem to get what apparently less clever people can see and have been flagging up for years and i see that a lot of those voices have now been silenced which is very worrying also.
I ask again. Please avoid financing and voting for those two institutions the SG and Celtic PLC.

I have yet to see a plan, an alternative, a way forward, including projected FOOTBALL results over the next few years written down which would convince Celtic Supporters to boycott. Celtic needed no help in making a dog’s dinner of last season.
But that doesn’t mean that we should ignore apparent double standards that disadvantaged the team.
What surprises me are the excuses & justifications for that double standard offered by some Celtic fans.
When Rangers are praised for doing nothing more than Celtic did once they too were aware of any breach, when a Celtic player is publicly named & shamed by Sturgeon & Yousuf while at the same time they do not name the offending Aberdeen players, when Christie was unavailable to us after Armstrong’s positive test, yet the Scottish players who room-shared with Gilmour & mixed with him will remain in the Scotland squad at Hampden.
Governments are obliged to govern fairly & consistently. That is their side of the contract they have with voters & the communities they represent. They need to be called out when they selectively apply rules to suit their own agenda. Celtic were & continue to be expendable to them when other priorities need to be met.
If you voted for this government then I’m certain you didn’t vote for them to discriminate against Celtic.
If you didn’t vote for them you will likely feel aggrieved at any real or perceived bias against Celtic.
Both groups should be unhappy & feel let down – in my opinion.
