RALSTON’S UNITED SWITCH

CELTIC defender Anthony Ralston has joined Championship outfit Dundee United on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old right-back has struggled with injury in recent months, but has accepted the challenge to go to Tannadice to help Csaba Laszlo’s side in their promotion chase.

Ralston has made 10 appearances for the Hoops – including against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League at Parkhead – but was sidelined with a knee problem in September.

He committed his long-term future to Brendan Rodgers’ outfit with an improved four-and-a-half-year deal in December.

Ralston is likely to go straight into the United squad for this afternoon’s home clash against Inverness Caley Thistle.
