Lots of speculation that this is the end. I don’t think so. Duff and Phelps have made practically no cuts for 23 days, it would be professional negligence for them to fail under these circumstances. They must have enough cash available to pay rates, electricity, police, around 20 youth players and various small invoices between now and the end of the season.
Unless an event happens that has yet to manifest, they will almost certainly survive until the tax tribunal verdict. It will not be pretty, and unless you are older than 35, it will not look like any Rangers you have known, but they will linger for a few weeks yet.

Administrators are supposed to cut costs and get a business on a better financial footing. Duff and phelps have the power to cut and fire staff and they have not done that. Last week they said liquidation was highly unlikely but now they are essentially saying it will happen without cutting costs or new investment.
Their only job is to cut costs. They have not done this and if the club is liquidated without forced cuts being pushed through it will be us that will need to ensure an independent investigation is carried out to assess why they did not so what they were brought in by the courts to do. Hopefully they are just playing hard ball.
