Rangers relax BBC ban when cash is at stake

953

Rangers today relaxed their ban on the BBC, issued after a documentary with contributions from two former Rangers directors was screened last month.  The BBC booked a paying gig at Ibrox for this afternoon’s game against Dundee United, if Rangers stuck to their principles they would have missed a media payment from the SPL.

Tune in to BBC Scotland this afternoon and listen to the sound of licence payers’ money strut its stuff from Ibrox.

  1. The Glentoran centre-back has appeared after their match with a poppy pinned on to his hooded tracksuit top.

I really don’t mind when people are interviewed on tv and it’s quite clear that the poppy is part of their attire, but it is ridiculous to pin stuff on players who have just came out of the changing room.

    It’s getting beyond a joke

Some laughed at them when THEM paid £5,000,000 for him. PL mocked the claims THEY made about offers received for him.

We’ll see who laughs when he wins them another SPL title.

SSN FIFA ban England from wearing poppy on shirt. Can’t wear political symbols.

That news has made my day! I was disgusted to see two so called Irishmen, Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane, on TV during the week with their lapels adorned.

Perhaps they were honouring the heroes who served with distinction in their native land.

My wife had to work at the SDLP conference today and said that quite a lot of the attendees were wearing them. Margaret Ritchie has previously refused to wear an Easter Lily.

Ritchie’s speech today included the gem that she “isn’t interested in Irish politics” considers running for president of Ireland as “globetrotting” while she sits in Westminster.

It’s a relatively free country and they can choose to wear or not to wear a remembrance symbol for those who gave their lives in wars.

I wore one when I stayed in Scotland and my mother and father had us observe a minute’s silence when I was young.

Instead of ridiculing anyone for showing respect, how about respectfully disagreeing but acknowledging their right to do as they see fot.

Dick Byrne. The Dundee united player clearly got the ball then flattened the player. Remember when something like that happened and we had Hugh Dallas and greame speirs telling us that by definition of the laws of the game it isn’t a foul if that happens. Wonder if Nae credibility speirs will be stepping up this time?

Wouldn’t argue with the penalty but certainly question the defender for making such a ludicrous and unnecessary challenge. Need to look out for betting patterns
