There’s something undignified at the shenanigans at Ibrox right now. Despite being under no pressure to pay the disputed tax demand, Rangers are tarting around their top player in a desperate attempt to raise money.
After the Plus Stock Exchange suspended dealing in their shares the club stated it would produce overdue accounts for season 2010-11 around the end of this month, which coincides with the end of the transfer window. Any auditor needs to be in a position to state that the company has enough cash to be considered a going concern before he would be in a position to sign-off the accounts. Rangers are now in a desperate bid for cash as their self-imposed (late) date to provide shareholders with statutory information has arrived.
Claims were made that a front-loaded war-chest was made available to Ex-Rangers manager, Ally McCoist (still too early? Hmmmm) at the start of the season and it was subsequently suggested that a £9m bid was rejected for Nikica Jelavic, but now the same player is available for a fraction of that sum – available for cash, that is.
McCoist kept their season alive but as reality dawn and Neil Lennon’s Celtic turned up the heat, his challenge abated.
The trusty old media, for so long a crutch throughout Rangers rather unique history, are set to desert the White Star Line’s most famous vessel. The day draws near.

Good morning all, first time poster. Just found this site through RTC and i must say i’m gutted that it’s taken me so long to find it. I have read through all the comments and i am taking great delight in the impending death of rangers(may they not rest in peace). With all this chatter on rangers demise i think we might be missing something with tomorrows deadline. I am beginning to get more worried about losing at least one of our top forwards. reason being:
1) Lennon brings in new forward and is not shy in telling us how similiar he is to stokes and hooper.
2) lennon putting 2 more forwards through a trial game tonight.
3) Bidding on another strker (Russell from DUnT).
4) Alleged texts between Celtic board top dogs with regards to imminent demise of rangers and the points penalties that could occur.
5) DR story tommorrow will be our boards best opportunity to bury bad news.
6) Jelavic away.
7) Stokes and Hooper are at the top of their game and would command fee’s that could tempt Lawwell
As i say, just worries nothing concrete. But with all this good news coming our way i can’t believe my luck will hold out.

I was thinking that Lennons comments regarding the similar playing style of the new forward was to avoid changing the shape of the team should stokes or hooper be injured. It would be madness to sell one of our first choice forwards in this window unless a ridiculous bid came in for one of them then it would have to be considered, and by ridiculous I mean in excess of 10 mill. It would be too much of a gamble breaking up a proven partnership and replacing one of them with a new signing that would have to adapt immediately to the spl style and develop an understanding with their new strike partner
