Is the personal attack on James Forrest your only assessment on an outstanding victory ? Hang your head in shame.

  3. 1. Me: We need to talk about Scott Brown

Shows I know absolutely nothing about football.

    2. Me: Jonny Hayes should be nowhere near the team.

Shows I know nothing about football (part 2).

    Forgive me father.

  4. The Celtic attack was mega in Sweden.

The revised Celtic defence was mega today.

If we gel the two we get a mega team.

Forget the crap about the huns being a very poor team. They are a much improved team that will see off the rest of the SPL. We simply got our tactics spot on, out thought, out fought and outplayed them.

Many of us asked out team to demonstrate that we had far superior players to them.

Talk is cheap but we showed that we are a far superior outfit in every department where it counts: on the park.

The potential for this team is phenomenal.

HH to all, the journey continues.

  5. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Evening all. Missed the game.

Lived it afterwards through the comments here. Wonderful stuff.

I hope every Celtic fan, bullish or cautious, positive or tentative, glass half full or half empty comes together to enjoy this result.

    As for the others?

The perma-raging, the bigots, the useless hacks desperately pandering to the only demographic remaining who are dumb enough to swallow their nonsense.

Rise above it and leave them to it.

The future is green and white.

    Hail hail

  7. I had reservations over Neil’s appointment. I has concerns around our recent transfer activity.

Today answered many of my questions.

Defence looking stronger – and likely to strengthen further as season progresses.

Just away for some Guinness to wash down my humble pie!

    Well done, Celtic. Brilliant

I haven`t seen the game yet but I agree that Scott Brown was MoTM :-)).

In truth, he nearly always is.

  11. Adi_Dassler, nae bother.

But the Compliance Officer had a day off booked for today, so don’t expect anything.

    Millions?

We paid it. He’s worth it.

    We give thanks.

Message of support for all the CQN bedwetters – remember …

Tena men won the league …

😂😂 I’m sure that washed over a lot on here.

Not a failure in the team today. Eddy was tremendous, as was his pal Ntcham for he short time he was on. What a player Ntcham would be if he could maintain a high level of consistency.

I really like the look of Elhamed. Very quick and assured with a steely edge to him.

  14. *** CQN PLAYER OF THE YEAR ***

Keep the votes coming – really interesting to see such diverse opinions!! Just to say that, going forward, I won’t make ANY mention on the blog as to who has joined in and voted. I did that for the AIK game and for those emails where a blog name hadn’t been shown I may have listed folkes real-world names. Sincere apologies for any issues that may have arisen from that.

Playing safe from now on. Just be assured that if you DO vote, I WILL count it. Promise ;-)

20 folk have voted already. And in your top 3’s we cover 9 different players!

  15. I also wanna be Jonny Hayes……..

can ye imagine how utterly happy an’ brilliant that Bhoy feels????

That’s what it is to be a Tim!

    HH

( Madden at the Midden got away with it – the hun refs don’t police the game, they akt in a way that minimises personal pressure, the rules of the game are sekondary to thum. The red kard came when our game was won, so it didn’t affect the outcome of the game.)

  16. I have a good claim to being JF’s biggest fan on here- I supported him before it became fashionable.

JF had a forgettable game against Sevco today and there is nothing controversial in saying so…

    except…….

Why would it occupy a second of your thoughts to look out for scapegioats or under-performers on a day where we won convincingly away from home against our nearest rials in the league, with a makeshift defence?

Why by-pass the joy to explore the relatively joyless? Why exaggerate the small problem when you have many large solutions and advantages? I really do not get the negative outlook after a hard earned win

JUST watched CJ NOVO to the end and look carefully you can see DAVY COOPERS poster SNIGGERING at his praise of JACK ,DAVIS and the 2 centre backs and what a problem choosing between the 2 best strikers in world football.

glad i did not see that today or i would have stayed in bed.

  18. I though James Forrest played with a lot of restraint today. So we never saw his usual attacking threat.

I think he is absolutely terrific .I am glad he is flawed at times.

If he reached or had reached his potential he would not still be playing for us.

As for the 70/30 ball he lost today?

I seem to remember that he was probably not just trying to win the ball/challenge but actually trying to nick the ball and beat the man….that’s how he lost it.Clearly someone like Broony would have just won the ball .

But that’s James Forrest for ya.

Long may he continue to be our slightly flawed piece of magic.

  19. Remember the negatives never want to be positive …

The net spend brigade will be on moaning

    Bolongoli … outstanding

Supporting Celtic is never a chore, today is pretty dam ok

What a squad we have …

    Unhappy Tim’s & Hun infiltrators

  20. FAVOURITE UNCLE on 1ST SEPTEMBER 2019 6:05 PM

    haha

    So true.

There is a Celtic vlogger ‘ryan 118’?

Who is friends with this guy in youtube circles and another Rangers vlogger.

They sometimes make videos together and to be honest the celtic lad Ryan gives the two of them and rangers for too much respect.

It is only because clearly that Ryan is obviously quite a nice kid who was brought up right.

The rangers vloggers are just deluded fools about the quality and prospects of their team and their club.

A couple of narrow wins against St Mirren and Kilmarnock and they genuinely believe they are world class!!!

    SFTB

Skelped them and we were nowhere near our best.

Across the Clyde the doubts are setting in, the giddy heights of the close season cup win is fading. The £20m rated striker they could afford to leave on the bench had an off day.

Bereft of their songbook their support was as quiet as a prisoner’s orgasm.

Ntcham’s addition added a level of guile that on another day could have seen a cricket score.

” Madden at the Midden got away with it ”

As I said earlier, I haven`t seen the game yet but I have seen the goals. Biased officials could have ruled Eddie`s goal offside. He was onside but it was very close.

The Red Card did not affect the game today but it MIGHT hinder Sevco in the games Jones misses so I don`t think the timing is desperatley important.

Finally, I get the impression that the Hun Hordes behaved themselves today. If they did, maybe we should consider that many of them might actually be different from the Orange Order type of supporter.

Spot on. Most Scottish players (lacking the skill to do otherwise) would just hammer in to win the ball. Thankfully we have an abundance of creative players also. That said, great work ethic from start to finish today

    Poor stuff …

It must be personal with James as I haven’t saw any posts when he has been the only scorer to keep things going … that post just shows you up for one thing …. poor show … maybe you don’t deserve watching James Forrest … who might have been poor today but still a poor attitude to have about any Celtic player … never mind one who has been so important for us in the last decade …. no the best but keep on being unhappy if that makes you happy ….

  26. HOT SMOKED on 1ST SEPTEMBER 2019 6:17 PM

I have watched a few videos of their support on youtube.

Someone on here mentioned they were singing ‘the famine song’?

The truth appears to be that they were singing along with some kind of club anthem that was blasted through the PA before ‘simply the best’

The song is probably the one that ‘the famine song was derived from’

I heard no rangers supporters singing the offensive lyrics ….they appeared to be singing it in its normal form to be fair to them.

Maybe just maybe they are moving into the 21st century at last
